The single most important skincare habit we can teach our kids is to use sunscreen daily on any skin that could be exposed to the sun - and reapply when out in the sun for extended periods of time or after swimming. Staying out of the sun is the best protection from sun damge that can cause skin cancer and skin damage, but when that is not possible, slather on the sunscreen!

Even if the sun is not shining through the clouds, the sun’s harmful rays are. So don’t skip the sunscreen even if it’s cloudy and snowy! You need two finger lengths of sunscreen to adequately cover your face and have the advertised SPF coverage.
