Enjoying the season change as the sunflowers are ready to harvest.
Embracing nature’s rythym can be soothing and grounding and reduce anxiety as we prepare for the next season. Drying seeds for next years planting, making suet cakes for the birds this winter and saving some for snacking and cooking.

World Renowned Heart Surgeon Speaks Out On What Really Causes Heart Disease We physicians with all our training, knowledge and authority often acquire a rather large ego that tends to make it difficult to admit we are wrong. Positive affirmations help our bodies follow our minds. What we take into our beings in the form of food becomes our blood, our bodies, and affects our thoughts. Here is an affirmation from Louise Hay to help us create total wellness:
"In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect,
whole and complete.
I recognize my body as a good friend.
Each cell in my body has Divine Intelligence.
I listen to what it tells me, and know that its advice is valid.
I am always safe, and Divinely protected and guided.
I choose to be healthy and free. All is well in my world."
Here is a heart healthy tip for today: Foods rich in niacin, also known as B6 are good for the heart. They can also decrease the production of cholesterol. So, if you are interested in reducing your LDL cholesterol, some foods you may want to increase in your diet are asparagas, crimini mushrooms, tuna, chicken, halibut and salmon. I have reduced my cholesterol by almost 50 points recently by focusing on healing foods.
Many people are familiar with guided visualizations for healing. It is possible to help heal the heart with specific visualizaitons. If you have had a catheterization or suspect blockages try this simple excercise. If you have a copy of your test you can view your own heart and compare it to a healthy heart picture. Or just imagine your heart in your mind . Picture it healthy and beating strongly with no restriction. Embrace it with love and picture each artery flowing freely with no restriction. As you do this visualization picture yourself as whole and healthy. Do this excercise repeatedly. Always think positive and visualize yourself as a healthy person. Visualization is just one method to help heal your heart.
With love,
Laurie
In Chinese Medicine, Autumn begins the Yin cycle when daylight lasts less than 12 hours. It is governed with the energy of the metal element which is associated with communication and working of the mind. Mental well-being involves a positive self image and being happy. Metal element rules the organs of the large intestine and the lungs. Your Autumn diet is very important for staying will through the winter. An autumn cleanse will help regulate your body and eliminate toxins and which could potentially cause illness. Your health begins with becoming aware of your energy and balance and paying attention to what you put in and take out.
