So many times, my addiction to perfection has held me back from executing. The overthinking, the back and forth, having so much on my plate… this easily could’ve been one of those moments where I stopped again.

But for 2026, I made a vow to myself and to God that I was going to keep. going.

Six years ago, I released my first class, Layering & Curling 101. At the time, I was so enamored by volume ‘b***y’ and blowout finishes, but layering and styling wasn’t a thing. In a world governed by lace at the time, my goal was to keep the art of hair DRESSING (and traditional installs) alive.

I had no idea how far that moment would travel.

To this day, I still see the impact. The installs. The layering. The styling. The softness. It shaped so many of the hairstyles that now fill my explore page.

Each of these moments represents something I’ve personally shared with the industry that helped move the craft forward.
