One of my clients decided to add Microlinks to her leave-out somewhere else after getting a Brazilian Knots install with me. She wanted more volume in that section, which I completely understand.
What I would have loved, though, was for her to reach out to me first. Brazilian Knots are fully customizable, and I know I could have added a few micro knots in that area to safely achieve the look she wanted. Micro knots are actually safer than Microlinks and way lighter.
It’s also important to remember that first installs can require adjustments after wearing them for a bit. Sometimes you realize you want more volume, less volume, shorter, longer, etc. and that’s totally okay.
Another factor was that she didn’t get the mandatory Microlinks touch-up, which is required for Microlinks but not for Brazilian Knots.
I’m sharing this because it’s a perfect real-life example for the girls who ask me about the differences between Microlinks and Brazilian Knots.

The care of your knots at home is not at all different from what you should normally do with your hair. It just take longer because is now more hair on your head.
Follow these basic steps, even if you go to a hair salon time to time, and your hair will thrive.
I should add 3 more things though: drink your water, sleep well and take your hair supplements 👌🏽💕.
