If you’re using Retinol, Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), or Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs), listen up, glow babes 👇

Spray tans develop using Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), which attaches to the top layer of your skin.

Retinol speeds up skin cell turnover — meaning that top layer sheds faster… and so does your tan 😩

Here’s what can happen:
• Faster fading
• Patchy or blotchy areas
• Dry, flaky spots
• Orange-tinged tone (especially on the face)

✨ How to keep your glow flawless:
✔ Stop retinol & exfoliating acids 3–7 days before your appointment
✔ Hydrate your skin (but skip heavy/oily lotions the day of)
✔ Wait 3–4 days after your tan before restarting actives

We love bronzed babes… but we do NOT love clients getting dizzy during their spray tan session 😅

Yes — it happens! And it’s usually preventable.

Standing still in a warm room, with locked knees, on an empty stomach, and dehydrated can absolutely make you feel lightheaded — and we definitely don’t want anyone passing out during their appointment.

✨ Here’s how to prepare like a pro:

💧 Hydrate days leading up to your appointment
Start drinking plenty of water 2–3 days before your session — not just the morning of.

🥗 Eat throughout the day
Please don’t come on an empty stomach. Have balanced meals and a snack beforehand.

🚫 Do NOT lock your knees
Keep a soft bend in your knees while standing. This keeps your blood flowing and helps prevent dizziness.

Your safety and comfort matter just as much as your glow 🤎

We want you healthy, steady, and leaving your appointment feeling confident — not wobbly.

When We May Need to Reschedule Your Spray Tan

Your glow is important — but your skin’s health is even more important.

If you are experiencing any of the following the day of your appointment, we will need to reschedule:

• Eczema flare-up
• Psoriasis flare-up
• Skin irritation or allergic reaction
• Active skin outbreak
• Sunburn
• Peeling or excessively dry skin
• Open, cracked, or bleeding skin

We do not spray tan over open, broken, or bleeding areas. Spray solution should only be applied to healthy, intact skin.

Spray tanning compromised skin can:
• Cause uneven or blotchy results
• Darken irritated areas
• Slow healing
• Lead to discomfort
