Sometimes you show up to your first day of work, meet your new coworker- a nice gal from Scoby, Montana, immediately and accidentally dye her eyebrows black and she goes on to stick with you through some of the wildest, biggest, greatest and hardest times you’ve known.

In life, very few people let you change as much as you need to—let you be bad at things, good at things, vulnerable when it’s hard, and honest when you don’t have it all together. For four years, Karlee has done that for me. She’s held space for the highs and lows, for learning together, for growing without judgment. Her quiet constancy has been a comfort in my life and I know many others who have had the pleasure of sharing this space with her over the last few years.

Saturday is her last day at the shop and I’m gonna miss her like hell.

So, here’s what we’re gonna do- follow along as Karlee and her family move back to Eastern Montana where she’s working on something so cool!

Let all of Eastern Montana know that they just found their new esthetician and she’s the literal best.

Come by this week and say bye! Drop her a note or a text. We’ll make sure we get the updates and keep her clients in the loop.

Karlee- you are amazing. Thank you for all the things. I couldn’t have asked for a better “coworker.” Let’s cry about this later and start that podcast. 💛

It’s almost Summer and Spruce & Honey is looking for a warm, talented esthetician or cosmetologist to join our team in Bozeman’s Cannery District. We specialize in hair removal, brow and lash services. We’re especially excited to find someone who loves working with brows and lashes, and who shares our passion for creating a welcoming space for all people.

This is a commission-based position with training opportunities, a built-in client base and the opportunity for booth rental in the future. We’re all about a happy, healthy, professional environment where you can truly love the work you do — and feel supported while doing it.

Hey there! If we haven’t met yet— I’m Nicole- wax therapist, brow lady, proud elder millennial and owner here at Spruce and Honey. To my longtime clients, you already know how much I love this community, and if you’re new to Spruce I’m so happy to have you here!

Now for a little life update: Some of you already know, and for others, this might be news. I’ll be stepping away from services and Spruce for about a month as I head off to surgery and allow time for recovery as part of my continuing journey with breast cancer.

I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for the incredible support I have felt from my Spruce community while going through chemo. You have all wrapped me up in so much kindness and love. It means the world. A special thank you to the amazing ladies I work with- Shelly, Addie, Hattie, Karlee, and my sweet sister Linda—for holding down the fort, taking care of our clients, and keeping our little shop full of warmth and good energy.

I’ll be back some time in April depending on what my body tells me it needs. I can’t wait to catch up with you on the other side of this little step away.

She's back! Karlee and her husband Keil welcomed baby Colbie Lynne in November and have been soaking up the snuggles since!

We couldn't be more excited to have this radiant Mama back in the shop. 💗

Karlee's back Thursdays- Saturdays. Her books are filling up quickly as we get towards Spring Break- so don't delay if you're ready to get back on her schedule!

We’re all headed out to take some time for the most important things in life. We’re so thankful to be able to do so.
