Investing in your marriage + meaningful relationships is a huge part of living a healthy, happy & holistic lifestyle!🫶🏼❤️✨Dedicating this post to MARRIAGE + RELATIONSHIPS in honor of today being our 2 year anniversary of marriage!🎉

One of the biggest marriage hacks we’ve discovered so far is to be intentional in finding shared hobbies with your partner! Seth and I have fairly different hobbies as well as completely different social batteries/needs (he is the biggest extrovert I know and an engineer (pretty isolating for him) while I am a MAJOR introvert who works with adults + small children all day) & after long days at work, we end up spending most of our evenings “parallel playing” so we can be near each other while refueling in the ways we need. This works for us most of the time - however, if we aren’t careful and intentional about it, our “parallel play” can easily turn into complacency and lack of intentionality and meaningful connection.

So whenever we get in a little bit of a rut, we have found it SO helpful for us to find + participate in a hobby we both enjoy that allows us to spend quality time together and work together towards the same goal (for us, that’s golf, traveling, discovering new, unique restaurants + being foodies together & our newest discovery - BUILDING LEGO SETS TOGETHER! A little nerdy, I know - lol😂)

I know 2 years of marriage isn’t crazy long and by no means am I an expert in marriage, but this practical tip has helped the quality of our marriage + friendship so much so I had to share! Investing in our marriage + meaningful relationships is a huge part of living a healthy, happy & holistic lifestyle!🫶🏼❤️✨

MORNING SUNLIGHT☀️

This is your friendly reminder to go outside and enjoy the morning sunlight! As a daycare provider, I’ve noticed a night and day difference (both in myself & the kiddos) on the days we get morning sunlight vs. the days we don’t. Even on chaotic, moody, tantrum-filled days, their behavior/moods + my sanity improves 100000% as soon as we get outside and enjoy the morning sunlight!
