Would you try a Glue-less Sew-In Install?
ONLY for one of my faithful clients whom I treat once a year for her birthday. She knows I don’t offer this to my service menu.
What do y’all think; should I add this to my service?
Happy Belated Birthday 🥳 ❤️😍

WHAT IS A SILK PRESS “Press N Curl”?
A silk press is a hairstyling technique that uses a blow-dryer and Thermal tool (hot comb, Marcel irons, and flat iron) to straighten your hair without a chemical relaxer.
While people may say that a silk press for natural hair is not the same as a traditional press n curl, this style has ups and downs “Silk press hair is all about applying less heat” to your strands to give your mane movement, body, and a shiny finish—sans the weighed down look a standard press and curl can provide. A Modern-day press n curl gives the same effect as the silk press of today.
Silk presses give the same amount of heat as a traditional press and curl. the only time I’ve seen myself and others with “heat damage” is with a flat iron. I never had heat damage with a Marcel iron most people that experience heat damage with a traditional Marcel iron or “hot comb” are because the stylist did not know how to use a Marcel iron or was not properly taught how to check the temperature when to use the Marcel iron if the temperature was not checked you will quickly burn off the hair at that moment.
Compared to a flat iron, heat damage will happen over time or in one-two sessions but just like any thermal style if you put too much heat on your hair consistently week after week you’re going to get heat damage with Marcel irons or Flat irons.
I feel like we need real teachers out there that specialize in 4c hair because we’re not getting the detailed educational representation that we should and it will help new stylists out here that want to learn how to style healthy 4c hair and don’t know how to properly use a hot comb or Marcel iron and I feel they should know how to use both Marcel, Hot combs, and flat iron because that’s how traditionally African-American “black ppl” straightened their hair before any chemical, and it’s important to build that skill of styling with thermal tools from the past to the present.
