🔬 **Scar Correction: Steroid Injection Complication**

💉 This patient had previously received a steroid injection performed elsewhere to treat a scar and help flatten it.

⚠️ Unfortunately, the medication spread beyond the scar and caused skin and fat atrophy, leading to a visible indentation, loss of skin texture, and color changes.

✨ In this case, we followed the patient over multiple visits and used a combination of hyaluronic acid filler and regenerative growth-factor therapy to help restore volume and support the skin's healing process.

📈 While every patient responds differently, it was encouraging to see improvement in the contour and appearance of the treated area over time.

🔬 Scar correction is often more complex than simply filling a defect. The goal is to improve volume, texture, and overall skin quality while maintaining a natural appearance.

One small spot can be something a patient notices every time they look in the mirror.

In this case, we treated a brown spot on the cheek using the **Hollywood Spectra Laser**, and the result speaks for itself—the pigment is completely gone. 👏

For superficial pigmentation, we used the **532 nm wavelength**, which specifically targets unwanted pigment while minimizing damage to the surrounding skin. During treatment, it's normal to hear a popping sound and see the pigment darken or turn gray temporarily—an indication that the laser is targeting the pigment effectively.

When you walk into a store looking for products for health, beauty, or longevity, it can feel overwhelming. So many options. So many promises. 🤯

One of the most interesting is Klotho—named after one of the Greek Fates, the goddess who spun the thread of life. In modern science, Klotho has become known as a longevity-associated protein that plays a role in regulating inflammation, cellular health, and healthy aging.

When it comes to skin and hair health, balance is everything. Too little stimulation may not produce results, but too much can potentially exhaust the very cells you're trying to support.

That's why I often think about longevity through the lens of regulation, not excess.

Whether we're talking about peptides, exosomes, growth factors, exercise, nutrition, or skincare, the goal isn't to do the most—it's to find the right balance. ⚖️

Healthy aging is not about chasing a miracle product. It's about understanding the science and making thoughtful choices over time.
