I thought I was prepared for how much I would cry at this wedding because the rehearsal was a tear jerker. But then Ellie walked down the isle with her flowers and Jack the ring bearer by her side and when I looked back over to her she was sobbing. She came to stand right beside me and I shared my tissue with her but home girl just kept on sobbing and well, I did too because it was just full of beauty and love and care and memory and all the things in life worth living for.

This girl is always teaching me something (usually patience 😂) but on this day she showed me that it’s ok to FEEL and feel deeply and to be so moved by something that you just can’t stop crying happy tears!

My husband also said the sweetest things on this day and I’m so glad I get to call him mine every day.

This wedding was everything and on the day we celebrate love, I’m celebrating all the love in our family and the best that is yet to come!

SMOKEY BEAR.

When I got the text from Makayla to paint her sweet pup who had just passed, of course I said yes. It was so fun getting to be a part of this tribute to Smokey Bear. He was a comfort and a friend and he is missed but never forgotten.

I love this part of capturing a memory of someone or something that was lost. Thank you for trusting me and letting me use my creative gift to help you remember this special guy forever.

I was thinking last night about what a surprise this baby boy was to our lives and how I think God loves to surprise us just like we like to surprise those we love with something we know they will love and cherish and delight in.

I can’t tell you I wasn’t freaking out when I saw the + sign this time! Haha. Kalen didn’t sign up for 4 kids let alone 5 lol. I’m thankful that we have grown together as people and parents and he has been my biggest support. But I’m also thankful that even though we didn’t see this coming, God did and he knows what’s best for us.

This boy has already changed me. This boy has taught me that what the enemy of our souls is trying to kill off {seed and life and the womb}, it can’t be silenced…these little voices will RISE up. This boy will be a warrior and an example of life rising from a dark place. This boy will be an arrow that pierces the enemy of our souls.

So, this surprise…I’ll take it! And I’m just so grateful that I get to be a part of this boy’s life. I’m so grateful for these kids I’m entrusted with and how each one has changed me for the better. I don’t deserve them but I’m so thankful God gave them to me!

Well I was talking to a friend today { Shannon } and I realized I never posted (except for stories) what the gender of baby Stovall is and if you can’t tell from Neal’s fist pump…it’s a BOY!

We are so excited…it took a little convincing for Ellie 😆. If she gives me permission, I’ll post the video but she really wanted a sister 😞. I’m glad she will be my baby girl forever though.
