As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. After a 3 year run, we’ve made the decision to close down Happy Life Mercantile.

If you follow us, you know our only spot is a bookcase at Gizmo's Galleria in Brownsburg. While it generates enough revenue to cover our monthly rent, it’s not enough to make it worthwhile when factoring other expenses associated with running a business. On top of that, we moved to southern Indiana this fall, a 115 mile trek to Brownsburg, so convenience getting to Gizmo’s to restock has been a challenge as well.

All these factors made the decision rather simple to make. However, we want to thank all of our customers these past 3 years from all three of the locations we had set up: Gizmo’s in Brownsburg, Gizmo’s Flea Market Marion, and Vendors Village.
And we can’t thank enough all of the businesses we partnered with since we opened the business in November 2021:

The tax man has been paid, so we have a fresh batch of PEE-can goodness direct from the Stuckey's mothership in Wrens, Georgia, coming to our shelf at Gizmo's soon!

We’re going to be placing a Bass Farms order for our shelf at Gizmo's in Brownsburg within the next week. We need your help! We’ve got a few Bass Farms holdovers from Christmas ‘22 that are now on our shelf at Gizmo's ! Some of your favorites from last year that you can’t get this year because it’s not last year! Did you follow that?? Midnight Sleigh Ride, Jingle Bell Rock, Pink Evergreen, and Winterberry Bliss can be found in body wash, body & linen spray, liquid hand soap, goat milk lotion, and goat milk bar soap. Just a reminder that next Sunday, September 24 will be our last day at Vendors Village in Terre Haute. All our remaining stock there will eventually find its way to our shelf here at Gizmo's in Brownsburg. We are in the final 2 weeks at our booth at Vendors Village in Terre Haute! Come grab you some before we move out in 2 weeks! We’re even selling a piece of our furniture…this cabinet can be yours for just $40! Find us inside the Haute City Center, 3401 South US 41 (just south of I-70) in Terre Haute. Open Monday - Saturday 10am - 8pm and Sundays 12pm - 6pm.

Just when we didn’t think we could load up our Brownsburg shelf anymore…we did! We’ve got some fall scents in your favorite Bass Farms products, we’ve got a limited amount of Amish Country Popcorn cheese topping back in, some leftover stock of Stuckey's pecan log rolls, plus other goodies from Dusty River Spices and mud pies from Peru, Indiana’s Sugar Creek Candies. NOTE: We are officially closed in Gizmo’s-Marion and have the remaining inventory either in Brownsburg or waiting in the wings at home. We are also planning on shutting down the booth in Terre Haute at Vendors Village at the end of September. BUT, we are keeping our Brownsburg shelf at least through the end of 2024!
