It's not a character flaw. It's a broken rhythm. And rhythms can be restored.
Save this if it hit home.
If you'd like to chat some more about this, there's a link in my profile to set up a free Align & Design call with me.

You don't have a willpower problem with food. You have a rhythm problem.
Swipe to see what got broken and what actually restores it.
Save this one. It might be the reframe someone you love needs to hear.

This is why I do what I do.
Not because I have a perfect protocol. But because I have watched women come back to themselves when they stop fighting their bodies and start supporting them.
The body is remarkably intelligent. It is always communicating. Always working toward healing when it has what it needs.
My job is to help you figure out what that is.
If you are ready to stop guessing and start building habits that actually work with the way you were made, I would love to talk. There’s a link in my bio.

After 30 years in clinical practice, I’ve learned that the body rarely needs to be forced into health.
It needs to be supported in returning to it.
When our habits align with how we were designed, something shifts. The body stops fighting and starts healing.
That’s the heart behind Aligned & Designed Wellness.

A new name. The same mission. And a philosophy that says it all.
After years of building this practice under my own name, I felt it was time for a name that actually reflects the heart of the work we do together.
Because this was never really about me. It has always been about you, and what your body is capable of when given the right support.
Your body is not broken. It was designed with an extraordinary capacity to heal, restore, and thrive. But healing needs the right conditions. The right habits. A life that works with your design instead of against it.
That is what we build together.
ALIGNED speaks to the whole-person approach at the center of everything I do, body, mind, and spirit working together rather than pulling against each other.
DESIGNED speaks to something I believe deeply. Your body was not an accident. It was created with intention, with wisdom, and with an innate ability to heal when we stop working against it and start honoring what it was made to do.
Together those words tell the whole story.
ADW = Aligned & Designed Wellness
Your body was designed to heal. Let's align your life so it can.
Two weeks. Five brain dimensions. Ten small habits.
Here's what I want you to take away from this series:
Your mental health is not just in your head.
Your body, your rhythms, your relationships, your rest, they are all part of how your mind heals and how your brain changes.
You cannot think your way out of a problem you didn't think your way into. You practiced your way here. You need to practice your way out.
If you've been feeling like you've lost yourself, anxious, exhausted, reactive, disconnected, this is where I'd start. If you want help building a personalized plan around practices like these, that's exactly what my 90-Day Realignment Package is designed for.
The link to schedule a free chat is in bio. Or send me a DM with the word aligned and I'll share the details.
These aren't complicated protocols. They are the kinds of practices that, repeated quietly over time, begin to reshape everything.
You are not stuck.
I want you to read that again.
Your brain can change. This isn't wishful thinking. It's neuroscience.
The shaped/shapable brain dimension is the one that gives me the most hope for the women I work with, because so many of them have been living in the same patterns of anxiety, reactivity, and exhaustion for so long that they've started to believe this is just who they are.
It isn't.
Neuroplasticity is your brain's ability to form new pathways and literally rewire itself in response to what you consistently do.
"Neuroplasticity is God's grace built into the brain." Justin Whitmel Earley
Daily habit: Breath prayers using 4-7-8 breathing. (Inhale 4 counts, hold 7, exhale 8.) This breathing pattern supports nervous system regulation and neuroplasticity. Bonus: add a verse to your inhale and exhale. My current fav is Colossians 1:17!
Weekly habit: Exercise. Movement is one of the most potent neuroplasticity tools we have.
These healthy habits are literally reshaping your brain. You are not stuck with the patterns you have right now. That's the whole point.
Your brain is changeable. Your patterns are not permanent. This is how you practice your way to peace.

When we give the creative mind space to breathe, something in us comes back online.
Daily habit: Walk in nature. Look around in genuine awe. Let yourself notice something beautiful without immediately photographing it or explaining it.
Weekly habit: Engage with art, music, painting, poetry, theater, something that bypasses the analytical brain and speaks directly to the soul.
I think that's why the psalmist kept writing poetry. Why God made sunsets no one could have planned. Why we feel something when we stand in a forest or hear a piece of music that reaches into us.
Beauty isn't an extra. It's nourishment.

There's something that happens when you write things down.
You begin to see patterns. You begin to see provision. You begin to see that the hard season had a purpose, even if you couldn't see it while you were in it.
The past/future brain dimension in The Body Teaches the Soul is about learning to process your life, not just manage it.
Daily habit: Journal. Even a few sentences. Watch what you notice over time.
Weekly habit: A face-to-face conversation with someone who knows your story.
Not a text. Not a FaceTime while multitasking. A real conversation where someone looks you in the eyes.
Your story is worth telling. And telling it is part of how you heal.

We have more connection than ever and less of it feels real.
The inner/outer brain dimension in The Body Teaches the Soul is a call back to what actually nourishes us, being truly known by a small group of people we trust.
One hour of phone-free time each day.
One real conversation each week.
Small? Yes.
Transformative? Also yes.
