Why we, as lash artists, tell you not to wear mascara with your lash extensions

1. Typically, mascara contains oils or waxes which will break the adhesive bonds.
- Broken bonds = premature fall out

2. Causes clumps
- mascara will “clump” the extensions together (or close your volume fans) giving the illusion of fall out.

3. It usually takes a makeup remover to thoroughly clean the lashes of mascara. These effective makeup removers usually contain OIL. (Refer to #1)

4. Without proper removal of mascara it creates the perfect environment for bacteria to become trapped and cause irritation.

Instead of waiting for adhesive to dry with air, I use an LED light to instantly cure the bond. I personally use the Opal system from Lash Apothecary, which creates a faster, stronger seal on each extension.

Whether you’re coming in for lash extensions or powder brows, my goal is always the same… a comfortable experience and results that fit you.

For Lash Extension Appointments👇🏽
Arrive with clean lashes (no mascara or eye makeup). We’ll chat about your desired look, then you’ll relax with your eyes closed while I apply the extensions. Most clients take a nap while I work. Your fill or full set will take anywhere from 30–120 minutes depending on the service.

For Powder Brow Appointments👇🏽
We start with a detailed consultation and brow mapping to create a shape that fits your natural bone structure and preferences. Once you approve the shape and color, I’ll begin the shading process to build a soft, fuller brow. The full appointment typically takes 2.5 hours and includes aftercare instructions to ensure the best healed results.

My goal is always natural, flattering results and an experience that feels relaxed and intentional.
