Attention friends! While women remain a minority in the skilled trades workforce our partner non-profit organization, Be Your Own Hero Careers along with many of their employer partners are working towards bridging not only the talent gap but the gender gap as a means to make a lasting impact in the and industries. To inspire change, they are hosting a Skilled Trades Job Fair next Thursday where women leaders from Arc Building Partners, Brawdy Construction, Cascades, CTS Contracting, Empire Building Diagnostics, The Goodwill, Hamburg Overhead Door, Iroquois Bar Corporation, Kulbacks General Contractor, Inc., McGard, Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., Modern Electrical Services, LLC, Murray Roofing, NW Contracting, Otis Eastern Service, LLC, RISEUP, Sealing Devices Inc., Uniland Corporation, United Materials, and more will be representing these organizations!
If you know a woman who is unsure about her future, let her know about this unique opportunity to get face-to-face with the top employers (many of whom are women!) of Western New York! Hey WomanUPers, did you know that Dr. Wendy A. Suzuki loves tap dancing? She even owns her own pair of tap shoes!
