After we started cleaning up her diet and simplifying our household chemicals, I realized that the store bought products just weren't cutting it, in my book. I began to research what it would take to produce a product I felt comfortable exposing my family to and using on my daughters sensitive skin. As most of you probably feel, I wanted only the best for my family and their well being. I make all of my soaps using the age old “cold-process" method. With the cold processing method, I start with only pure basic ingredients. This insures that I know the origin and purity of each material that goes into each bar of soap. Essential oils are used for scent and natural colors are provided by plant materials, herbs, and spices. Each batch is cured for at least 4 weeks for drying purposes and every bar is approximately 5 ounces. The end product is well worth the wait! (Please allow for some slight variation in appearance, as all soap is handmade and hand cut.) In order to achieve the goal of purity, I do not use any preservatives, artificial fragrances, or artificial dyes. Be sure to administer a small patch test before using, though I only use all natural oils, butters, and essential oils some skin may have sensitivities. Soap maintenance:
Please keep your soap in a dish that drains and when not in use keep it ventilated. Your soap will last much longer and in turn so will your penny! Ask yourself this, is your skin worth the very best? If you believe it is than please know that it is my mission to create healthy soaps free of harsh detergents, petro chemicals, FD&C colors and Dyes, and other Synthetics, like the ones that fill the stores today.
