How to tell my (36M) wife (36F) I dont want more kids.

My wife wants more kids. I do not. How do I tell her?

My wife gave birth to our eldest boy when we were 19. We got married at 20 and we had twin boys at 22. Then we had another boy at 23. The first and last were unplanned but the twins were planned. We were lucky to have a lot of family support.

We are 36 now. Her friends are starting to have families. And she wants to have more kids. I love my wife and I love being a father but, for me, we have already done that part of life and I dont want to restart it.

She seems so into the idea. She even looked at our finances. Converting the gaming room into a bedroom. She had it all planned in her head before telling me.

I dont know how to burst the idea, nicely. Saying no could do a lot of damage to us. She is an incredible mother and I dont want to hurt her, but I do not want to go back to nappies and bottles.
