Awesome turnout at last night’s First Friday Art reception with the Royal Gorge Art Alliance. I even managed to get a few pieces of my own into the show.
This month’s theme was “Winds of Change” and was flexible enough to allow literal wind and movement or metaphorical changes and transformation.

Tonight’s Paint and sip group was a blast!

The room was full of laughter, great energy and absolutely adorable Easter Bunnies! We even had a few first time, never painted before in attendance .. and I think they even surprised themselves with what they created!

I’m Dawn Adams — an artist, creator, and free spirit guided by a bohemian heart and a deep reverence for beauty in all its forms.

As a “Blissful Soul,” I create art and intention-filled pieces that invite you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with what matters most.

My paintings are expressions of energy and emotion — free-flowing, semi-abstract landscapes where water meets mountains, where texture meets light, and where realism gently blends with Impressionism and whimsy. I’m endlessly inspired by waterscapes, mountain horizons, and those in-between places that feel both grounding and dreamlike. Each piece carries movement, depth, and a quiet story waiting to be felt.

Alongside my artwork, I pour candles with intention — gemstones infused in the wax - creating meaningful rituals designed to hold space for reflection, healing, and presence. For me, creativity isn’t just about making something beautiful; it’s about creating moments. Moments of stillness. Moments of connection. Moments where your soul feels seen.

That same heart-centered energy flows into the sip and paint experiences I host and continue to grow. These gatherings are more than art classes — they’re spaces for laughter, expression, and community. Whether someone is picking up a paintbrush for the first time or rediscovering their creative spark, I guide each class in a way that feels relaxed, encouraging, and joy-filled. It’s about the experience as much as the art — creating memories, building confidence, and leaving with something handmade and meaningful.

I’m excited to be expanding these classes through the Royal Gorge Art Alliance at The Hive, where I’ll continue guiding others in creating, connecting, and celebrating their own unique expression.

I believe art speaks in ways words often cannot. It captures energy, preserves memories, and transforms ordinary spaces into sacred ones. My hope is that every painting, every candle, and every shared creative experience brings warmth, inspiration, and a sense of quiet magic into everyday life.

My work has been featured at local craft shows and exhibited at the Fremont Center for the Arts and The Gift Chateau — spaces that celebrate creativity and community.

Above all, I create to remind us that art is about returning to beauty, presence, and the magic we create together.
