DON’T DUMP PETS: Missouri Dept. of Conservation warns after invasive species found in Blue Springs lake Experts from the Missouri Department of Conservation are warning people to not dump their unwanted pets into the wild, including lakes and conservation areas.
Lovely male bristlenose pleco settling into his new tank nicely with his female companion who is hiding. Another MASI auction win with some angels from there as well!
We were lucky enough to snag Alyssa’s dream fish at the MASI auction this weekend!

Had some friends ask about how shipments of fish come in! 🐠✈️
Most of the fish we order come from California and are overnight shipped to our door in less than 16-18 hours. That’s hugely impressive if you ask me.
The fish come in a large styrofoam box with newspaper wrapped around it to hold in heat with a small heat pack.
Fish are put in bags of tank water with a bit of medications to help prevent stress. The bags are filled with oxygen and sealed to be boxed up and shipped.
When they arrive we open the boxes immediately and start floating the bags in the tank water to help bring the temperatures closer to reduce stress even further. We then acclimate them slowly by adding tank water to the bags over the course of 30 minutes to an hour before releasing them into their new tanks.
We then will quarantine the fish with medications and heat to reduce the occurrence of fungal infections and parasite transmission.

Penny and Allen’s new 75 Gallon Planted Angelfish tank is starting to look awesome! Still a bit cloudy and colored from the driftwood, but it will improve quickly.
We were given the task to set up an aquarium that was user friendly, easy to maintain, and attention grabbing; all within our customers budget!
