It’s Self Care Sunday…

And since I’ve skipped “what’s in the box Wednesday” for the last couple weeks I’m taking this moment to show off this new gem.

Introducing “Worthy- for the people who keep accepting crumbs” 🩷

I made a self-care vibe reset kit before and I’ll tell you this one hits harder for me. Not that the other didn’t but this has more of a self-love/worth vibe where the other one (Connect + Unwind) was more of a self-care after a long day or to enjoy with a loved one.

First off, the candle is called Pink Quartz. How fitting?! Second… the whole vibe is soft pinks and creams with a splash of green to help your heart chakra and invite love in for yourself. Third, there’s a card included that tells the what and why and how to use it all.

The tagline for this kit is the most clear explanation I could come up with in a cute way… and serves as a reminder to people to stop accepting less than they’re worth. You matter. F anyone who makes you feel as if you don’t! Tell them I said it too, I’m cool with it. 👏🏼

I snuck outside yesterday at NewBo City Market and got these pics to show it all off on my website but y’all had to see her in all her glory as well!!

I have 4 of these in my shop (and available online) so grab one for yourself or someone who needs to be reminded that they matter! I def made one for myself as well cuz I don’t always feel like I matter when I know that’s bu****it. I actually use these kits for my own s**t too. I’m still human, still healing and still experiencing times that feel like an elephant is jumping up and down on my chest.

Happy Friday friends!! Welcome to another brain dump post with a purpose!!

Next Thursday, I get to meet Steve with Cedar Rapids HOPEwalk and make a donation on behalf of Bumblebee Lotus and this amazing community.

So far, we’ve raised $300. My reaction is still summed up best with HOLY S**T.

A few years ago, I was struggling hard with my own mental health. Mental health awareness wasn’t a mission. It was survival. I still have bad days, but nothing compared to then.

If you had told me back then that I’d one day own a business centered around mental health awareness, have a community of people rally behind it, and be making a big donation to HOPEwalk, I would’ve laughed in your face and told you to go f yourself and to stop lying to me.

Yet here we are. 🥹

What started as me trying to survive somehow turned into helping other people too… and it’s the coolest, weirdest feeling ever.

So now I’m sitting here debating whether to add another $200 and bring our donation to $500 before I meet with HOPEwalk next Thursday…

Not because I want my logo on a shirt.
Not because I need recognition.
But because I know what it feels like to need hope.

Some days I still can’t believe this is real. To everyone who’s supported Bumblebee Lotus, shared a post, stopped by an event, made a purchase, told a friend about me, or simply cheered me on from the sidelines… thank you. 🥹🙏🏼

This little business may have started with me, but this moment belongs to all of us. 💛

I seriously feel like my heart is gonna explode.

Thank you for believing in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. Bumblebee Lotus may have started because I was trying to save my own life, but somewhere along the way, all of you helped save it too. 🥹🫶🏼

Soo it’s a Monday… and my day off… but I’ve been working all day. 😆👏🏼🤦🏼‍♀️

My website has been being updated almost daily… not joking. There’s always something new on there. Might look the same to some but I have spent dayyyyssss getting things on there that are only available in my shop so that I can ship all the things to all my new friends from out of state!! I have kidnapped all the dream catchers from my shop that aren’t online yet and will be taking pics and posting them tmrw… then hauling them back to the shop before I open Wednesday.

Days off where?? I don’t remember signing up for 7 day works weeks butttt it’s one of the joys of being a small business owner!! It’s hard to hate it when I actually enjoy doing this.

Hiiiii friends, followers, supporters and stalkers of my business!!

As many of you know, May is Mental Health Month and I wanted to do something big since mental health is my whole big reason for starting this. I have a cute little jar set up in my shop at NewBo City Market set up to accept cash donations and I chose Cedar Rapids HOPEwalk to donate the funds to this month and am sharing this for full transparency.

I said I was donating all the tips I got this month as well... digital and cash. I wasn't joking. So far we have over $150 that I get to add to my jar tomorrow and it just keeps growing!! I have retaken this pic multiple times today so this is the one y'all get to see. It has more added to it already. I have NO IDEA how much cash there is but I see at least one $20, $10 and a couple $5's mixed in with some 1's and loose change.

I have been throwing money into it daily and not writing it down, so I truly have no idea and y'all will get to find out with me tmrw after I close for the day!!

I will be contacting HOPEwalk and arranging a time to drop off the donation and I will absolutely be participating again this year with team Bumblebee Lotus!!
