Most people walk into their first Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy session wondering the same thing...

"What actually happens?"

The answer is surprisingly simple.

Nothing is forced.

Nothing needs to be fixed.

There isn't anything you have to "do."

Instead, your body is given something it rarely experiences...

✨ Space.

During your session:

You remain fully clothed and comfortably supported on the treatment table.

Touch is incredibly gentle—often no more than the weight of a nickel.

Your nervous system is given the opportunity to slow down and move out of survival mode.

Your body begins doing what it has always known how to do when given the right conditions: regulate, restore, and heal.

Some clients notice warmth, gentle movement, or tingling.

Some fall asleep.

Some experience emotional release.

Others simply leave feeling quieter inside than they have in a very long time.

Every experience is unique because every nervous system has its own story.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy isn't about making something happen.

It's about listening to what your body has been trying to communicate all along.

Sometimes healing doesn't begin by doing more.

Sometimes it begins by finally allowing yourself to receive.

🤍 If you've been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or like your body never fully relaxes, BCST may offer the support your nervous system has been waiting for.

Save this post for the next time your body is asking you to slow down.

I think it’s time I introduced—or reintroduced—myself. 👋

I’m Cathy Jones, the human standing in front of Annie…and the practitioner behind CranialJones. 🤍

I’m a Registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist (RCST®) and Licensed Massage Therapist with more than 25 years in health and wellness—and over 20 years devoted to Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.

A few things to know about me:

✨ I believe your body holds more wisdom than you may realize.
✨ I’m fascinated by the nervous system and the body’s ability to move toward health.
✨ Comfort, choice, and feeling safe enough are always part of your session.
✨ I’ll happily adjust the table warmer until it feels just right.
✨ You never need to show up polished, peaceful, or pretending you’re fine.

My work is gentle, but it can be deeply supportive—especially when your body has been holding stress, pain, tension, or survival patterns for far too long.

If you’re new here, I’m so glad you found me. And if you’ve been here for a while, tell me: How did we first connect? 👇

The Lie That Keeps Us Exhausted | Rest, Burnout & Nervous System Regulation — Cranial Jones 09/10/2026

How often do you tell yourself, “I’ll rest when everything is done”?

The emails. The house. The deadlines. Taking care of everyone else. But the truth is, there will always be something else.

Your nervous system isn’t asking you to earn rest—it’s asking for balance, support, and the opportunity to restore before you reach burnout.

✨ In this week's blog, “The Lie That Keeps Us Exhausted,” I’m exploring why we wait until we’re depleted to care for ourselves—and what can change when we stop.

Your Body Remembers Wholeness | Craniosacral Therapy — Cranial Jones 09/03/2026

What if your body isn’t broken, what if it has simply been working hard to protect you?

Beneath the stress, tension, pain, and patterns of survival, your body still carries an inherent blueprint for health. It remembers balance. It remembers safety. It remembers wholeness.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy doesn’t force the body to change. It creates a gentle, supportive space where the nervous system can soften, listen, and reconnect with the wisdom that has been there all along.

My newest blog, “Your Body Remembers Wholeness,” explores why healing may be less about becoming someone new, and more about remembering who you have always been.

Healing isn't just about getting more sleep.

It's about helping your body recognize that it no longer has to stay on high alert.

In my latest blog, I explore why rest is so much more than the absence of activity - and how Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy helps create the conditions where your nervous system can finally soften, settle, and restore.

Radical Sabbatical!! In honor of regulating my nervous system so I can continue to support my clients I have taken the whole month of August off! This has been such an interesting experience...only 1/2 way through and it is painfully obvious how driven to distraction we are as a culture, and the guilt is REAL!! I've noticed that there is a part of me that wants to scramble to get everything done that hasn't gotten done while I was working. It's hard to allow myself the space to do nothing. I feel traces of the hamster wheel creeping back into my nervous system beckoning me relentlessly, but alas I am giving that part of myself the finger for now so I can really nourish my soul on a deep level. For the rest of the month I will be lounging guilt free, enjoying my family, the rain, my flowers, my garden, creating art, and doing my best to slow the "f" down!!!
