How to keep a headache journal.
If you want to knockout your headaches, you need to collect information!!! Keeping a headache journal provides valuable information for your chiropractor/neurologist/acupuncturist/primary care doctor. You want to journal for at least 1-2 months, but even just a couple of weeks of journaling can provide valuable insight for the type of headache or possible triggers for your the headaches you have.

Frequent headaches are so common, especially among women. Save and Swipe to read about a few simple things you can do to stop the pain.
1) Headache journals are so important to help you find a possible pattern and determine the type of headaches you have.
2) Start noting what are possible triggers and help you to prevent them.
3) You can start to do little things today to make sure your are living healthy. Try drinking some more water, taking a short walk outside, or do some gentle stretches. Even though it may not sound like much, these are helpful for your overall health and well-being.
As always, feel free to DM me for additional advice or to help you find a chiropractor near you to get you feeling better.
Keyboard warriors… who do you do this all day???

Life got you feeling a little out of balance? I can definitely relate! With the kiddos back in school, people going back to work in their offices, and reopening continuing to happen, it’s all about getting back into the swing of things.
If someone challenges you to do this, just say no!
I keep seeing terrible accidents with doing the milk crate challenge. Here are 7 possible injuries that can occur this doing this ridiculous “challenge”.
Turn on your sound to hear what sweet chiropractic relief sounds like! Adjustments just feel good. Double tap if you agree.

And never ignore your symptoms. They happen as warning signs like your check engine light in your car.
3 little things to you should do for your health…
Hello again! It’s me, Dr G. It’s been a while and I’ve missed you all. Here’s a quick little video I wanted to share.

Do you know how important your spine is? It is connected to the brain which controls EVERYTHING! It keeps you breathing while you sleep, it signals to the body to eat, digest, and excrete. It has specialized nerves that come off it to regulate your heart rate. It’s the master computer of our bodies! Off of the brain defends the spinal cord housed and protected by our spine. This delicate structure encased in bone is essential to our existence.
Each day I’m amazed and what we see in our office. How moving those vertebra of the spine allows us to move better, feel better and function better.
Hippocrates was a man before his time. I can only imagine what he would have been able to do with modern technology and research that we have today. However the simplicity of this quote says it all about chiropractic, and he was absolutely correct.

Double tap if you agree!
We were created to move. Our bodies were meant to stand, sit, crawl, jump, run, walk, climb and more. When we don’t move it creates issues in our bodies that should up as stiffness, aches, pains, and can eventually lead to more serious conditions. So wherever you are in your life or in your health journey, a healthy appropriate dose of movement goes a long way.

Spring time is beautiful inNoVa but it can send allergies into overdrive as well. Here are a few helpful things you can do to cope with the spring time sneezing.
1) Drive with the windows closed. Yes the smell of the fresh flowers and rain is lovely but going for a drive with the pollen floating around only drives the pollen into your nasal cavity even more.
2) Change your air filter in both your car and home monthly. This keeps the indoor air quality in check.
3) Change your pillow case before going to bed. This helps to eliminate any dust or pollen that has settled on your pillow case during the day.
4) Change your cloths immediately after coming home. This removes pollen that attaches itself to the fabric.
5) Take a damp cloth and wipe down your face and hair and of course wash your hands. . Pollen is microscopic and attaches to everything, even pets! So it also a great idea to wipe down your pups as well after a walk.
6) Eat local honey. This contains pollen from near by trees to help with your immune system to combat the histamine response caused by pollen.
7) Get adjusted! Our central nervous system is the master in all things body function. By keeping it moving properly, you’ll be able to drain any inflammatory reactions caused by pollen.

“Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3... Hello... can you hear me????” This is what your body is telling you with tiny symptoms.
Have you had any of the following?
1) Waking up achy
2) Feeling tired for no reason/Sluggish
3) Mild headaches that come out of no where
4) Avoid activities because they hurt
5) Digestion issues
6) Have tension in her neck or between your shoulder blades
This is your body whispering that there is something going on. It’s not that big a deal to you, but your body is still pushing through the discomfort. Listen to it! You can do simple things.
Here is a list of easy things you can do to help your body recover:
1) Sleep
2) Stretch
3) Pull back on processed foods
4) Water, water, water!
5) Move and stretch
6) Seek chiropractic care

Happy anniversary to US!!! 11 years ago today, my husband and I purchased an office. We have been able to help thousands of patients, put toys under the Christmas tree for local kids, donated book bags, met amazing people, celebrated births, and pushed through a pandemic just to name a few things we’ve done.
Thank you for trusting us with your care through out the years. Cheers to 11 years and many more to come.
Special thank you to all of our staff that has supported us through all these years. We would not be able to do what we do without their support.

Hey pregnant mamas! Are you listening to your body, especially towards the end of pregnancy?

Whats your mantra this week? For me, this week is all about planning for finishing up major projects at home and at the office. You’ll be seeing a few changes in the coming weeks. With that in mind, we will be closed for patient care from Apr 5-9th. Even though we are closed doesn’t mean that we won’t be working. Actually it’s the opposite!
So keeping all that in mind and a very large cup of coffee, I doing my best to be unstoppable and upgrade the office to deliver excellent chiropractic care. Tell me, what’s your mantra.

If your spending the weekend “Asking Dr. Google” just stop. There is a better way. So many of my patients come in with absolute fear or even procrastinate seeking care from anyone because of what they read online.
Never wait to seek care. Your health and wellness are worth getting taken care of right away. As always, I’m happy to help answer questions or help you find a chiropractor or other appropriate health care provider close to you.
I didn’t know if my business would survive the pandemic, this is what has happened over the past year.

Spring is just around the corner and so many are looking for the fresh start to the season. But why wait? Start now from within! Start with your mindset. Start with positive thoughts, positive self talk, positive affirmations. All of these little things we can do for our self while driving in our cars, waiting on hold, or doing other things during our day.
How we speak to ourselves is vital to how we project ourselves to others. Be kind to yourself, it will help with your mindset.

This!!! We see people get so much more enjoyment from life once they begin to feel better.
