And honestly? That's one of my favorite things about a trial run.
For this beautiful bride, we started with a soft, tousled glam wave rates down the middle and naturally enhanced makeup.
But I always tell my brides : "after your trial get out and don't anything to test your look"
Sweat, run errands, anything and then send me photos of how your look held up through the day.
If your trial was at 8am I wanna see you at noon, 5pm and 8pm.
Did your curls fall? Did a lash loosen? Did your makeup fade? Did you realize you wanted a little more definition in any areas?
That information matters to me.
Because your trial gives us the opportunity to figure out what needs to be tweaked before your actual wedding morning.
For this bride she realized she wanted the front out of her face and pinned back so she didn't have to worry about it throughout the night and it was stunning on her.
For makeup we changed the lash, made the loo slightly bolder while keeping it soft never heavy, and her consistent skin care routine made such a difference in how beautiful everything sat on her skin.

Happy September! 🤎
I seriously cannot believe we're already here. September is officially month 4 of our family living in Iowa, and I'm finally getting to the really exciting part—connecting with my Iowa brides and building my business here after moving from the Carolinas.
But before we jump into a new month, here's one of my favorite highlights from August…
My husband and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary with dinner at Martinis bar and grill in the Burlington area. 🥂
And honestly? It was extra special because it was our first child-free date night since having our little one. 😂
We ate, talked, laughed, and probably spent way too much time discussing the food because if you know me, you know I'm a BIG foodie.
Having a husband with a culinary background definitely doesn't help that obsession. 😂 I love trying new restaurants and finding good food wherever we are.
And since we're talking about my husband…
Shoutout to all the couples who met on dating apps. 😂

Your bridal trial isn't just about seeing what you look like
it's about figuring out what makes you feel your absolute best. 🤎
This beautiful bride had her trial with me before her wedding day, and we started with a soft, tousled glam wave parted down the middle paired with naturally enhanced makeup.
One thing I always encourage my brides to do after their trial?
LIVE IN IT.
Go outside. Run errands. Get sweaty. Wear your hair and makeup for the entire day.
And then send me photos! I want to know how everything is holding up at noon, 5 PM and 8 PM.
Did the curls fall? Did a lash loosen? Did your makeup fade? Did you realize you wanted a little more definition?
All of that information helps us.
After her trial, this bride realized she didn't want hair around the front of her face. So on her wedding day, we pinned it back into a beautiful twist that opened up her face—and it looked absolutely stunning on her.
We also adjusted her makeup slightly, changed her lashes and added just a little more definition while keeping everything soft and natural.
And her consistent skincare routine? 👏 It made SUCH a difference in how beautifully her makeup sat on her skin.
This is why I love bridal trials.
We're not just recreating a Pinterest photo and calling it done.
We're figuring out what works for YOU, what makes you feel confident, and what will hold up through your actual wedding day.

It may seem like a small detail, but it’s one of the ways I make the wedding experience easier for my brides.
With a larger party, chasing down 10–12 individual payments can quickly become a headache.
Two weeks before the wedding, I don’t want to be emailing my bride saying, “I’m still waiting on Sarah and Stacey.” 😅
And I definitely don’t want to be standing in the middle of the room on the wedding morning trying to track down payments.
Someone’s husband is paying for her. Someone else took her toddler back to the hotel. Someone simply forgot.
Now instead of packing up and wishing my bride an amazing night, I’m waiting around for payments.
So I changed my system for a better experience.
One bride. One payment. One less thing to worry about.

The older I get in this industry, the more I realize bridal beauty isn't really about hair and makeup. 🤎
I've been a licensed cosmetologist since 2013, and after all these years, my favorite part of a wedding morning still isn't the finished hairstyle or the makeup.
It's the moment a bride looks in the mirror and says:
“I still look like me.”
That's the feeling I want every Alter Image bride to have.
Soft. Polished. Beautiful.
But never so different that she doesn't recognize herself.
