Twist And Knot
Twist and Knot Locs are faux locs that were created to make each individual feel like a goddess.
Inspired by Lisa Bonet, Megan Good, and America's Top Model star Eva Pigford, Twist and Knot faux locs delivers a carefree, bohemian, protective style!
Pt. 7: Side French Roll
For this style, I did a little French roll and pulled it back.
This is such a cute way to keep your locs out of your face, and it’s pretty easy to do. Just roll the hair back and secure it with a scrunchie.
Perfect for the office, a professional look, or anytime you want something quick and polished.

Pt. 6: Half Up, Half Down Bun
We’re back with another half-up, half-down style.
For this one, I’m wrapping the ponytail around to create a bun, then pulling the locs in the back toward the front.
And voilà — another cute, quick style.
I know these videos are a little long for such simple styles, but I wanted to show them without a bunch of edits so you can really see how easy they are.
Also, these aren’t starter locs, but they are still forming. So while your locs are maturing, be mindful of super tight styles. Too much tension or tight styling can cause the locs to bunch, bubble, or start molding into the shape of the style.

Pt. 5: High Ponytail
For this style, I’m pulling the locs up into a cute high ponytail.
The loc wrap makes it super easy to secure, and it gives that pineapple look a lot of loc girlies love.
Quick, cute, and perfect when you want your locs up and out the way.
Pt. 4: Half Up, Half Down
Another quick style to try is a half-up, half-down look.
I like to start around the ear and pull the top section into a ponytail. You can take the 2 locs right before the ear, or grab 3 locs with one sitting slightly behind the ear, depending on how high you want the ponytail to sit.
You can leave it as a ponytail, or wrap the curls around to create a cute little bun.
Quick, easy, and still gentle on the locs.
Pt. 3 Less dramatic then flipping all the hair over, but still effective!
This is a favorite, I know it’s extremely simple but the most important part is being gentle as your flipping the locs over. Lift and flip!
PT. 2 Take note to how gently I’m moving her hair over. Lift and place the locs over to the side. Sometimes we can be unknowingly rough, slightly pulling and tugging creating some tension and snapping some hair off. Trust me I’ve done it to myself flipping my hair over. Be gentle and flip that hair over for all the drama!!!
Pt. 1 Quick + easy loc styles to try on yourself!
asked me for some easy ways to style her locs, so we played around with a few simple looks that are cute but still gentle on the hair.
I’ll be posting more styles soon — hopefully you try one.

Recent Kinky Curly visits!
All slides are using kinky curly bundles.
Most kinky curls I post are defined with a light gel or mousse. I either use my finger, a comb or just scrunch the curls up, whatever my clients prefer or if we’re in a time crunch!
Coloring the curls can loosen up the curl pattern a little especially coloring to lighter blondes. I recommend to go light gradually for permanent locs.
