You can absolutely ruin your hair extensions with the wrong sunscreen… and most people have no idea until their blonde turns pink, peachy, orange, or dull.

One of the biggest causes?
❌ AVOBENZONE.

Avobenzone is a chemical UV filter found in many sunscreens. When it mixes with minerals, salt water, chlorine, sweat, or hard water — it can react with extension hair and cause discoloration, dryness, staining, and buildup. Blonde extensions are usually affected the fastest, but all extension hair can become coated, heavy, tangled, and damaged over time.

Reposted I get asked a lot what the size of section I use for my beads with fine hair when installing my wefts.
In general I use a section 1/2 in wide and 3/4 in depth.
However, section size is also determined for the amount of hair/weight you plan on added to your foundation!
The amount of hair in your foundation also determines the max amount of hair/weight you can add! You never want to add more weight than the foundation can hold!
