4 1/2 years ago I made a decision to loc my hair. I chose sisterlocs because of the versatility they offered ME. I took my time interviewing locticians and found Ashley of naturallyrowe and instantly connected with her. She was professional, authentic, honest, genuine and someone I felt I could grow with as a woman. Note: Allowing someone to care for your crown should never be taken lightly. Energy is real and it matters.

As I look at where I started vs today I am in awe. Not just because of the look but how much freedom I’ve gained during this journey. I’ve given birth, thrived in the midst of closing a relationship, purchased a home, and healed from wounds from my childhood and toxic relationships. I’ve had the opportunity to learn more about me than ever and I’m looking forward to continuing this journey.

A healthy lifestyle allows my hair to flourish. I eat pretty healthy at least 80% of the time, I don’t drink alcohol excessively but when it’s time to turn up I will🥴, I don’t drink sodas or juice only quality water. I eat my greens, don’t eat a lot of processed foods, take my supplements/herbs and most importantly reduce my stress. Stress will take out all your edges😂😂let them folks go who force you to get out of balance. Anyway, this is your sign to take the leap and loc your hair. 🥰

Whatever you’ve been sitting on or waiting to do, NOW is the time! Put action behind your dreams and desires! You aren’t waiting on God, God is waiting on you! The road has been made clear! It is GO TIME🔥🔥🔥

The best thing I could have done for myself was heal (continue healing).

Forgive myself and others.

Release people who no longer align with my highest calling.

Be authentically me and align myself with those who allow me to be me without judgement, ridicule, negative commentary.

Tap into my inner spiritual being and allow her to guide me on this earthly journey of life. We were spiritual beings before we were ever human. I’ve learned to flow freely with life. Take the highs and brace for the lows. Life is truly a journey and when you embrace it and release control it’s the most freeing experience ever 💜💛💜

day 2 of being and I believed my locs were as beautiful then as they are today- a year later! The most interesting thing I’ve learned about locs is that you are NOT in control!!!! Your hair is going to do what it’s going to do💁🏽‍♀️
Real life application- somewhere in life I developed a need to control everything. I was never able to fully trust the process of anything. I can blame it on parental woes, how I grew up, romantic partners but the truth is spiritually there was something broken in me that caused me not to trust that all things were truly working for my greater good.
When I decided to I committed to the process and decided to trust that they would mature to be exactly what they were supposed to be FOR ME! Not my home girl who’s hair was a different length, texture and color😂, not the thousands of IG I saw or the random women I saw out and about!!!
Just like every physical aspect of your being is your own so is your life path! It’s different from everyone you see! Don’t get caught up in what you see online or even what people tell you or show you! Remember what’s for you is for you but you must be willing to go through the process 💜

Happiness is an internal feeling. It is based upon what you believe about yourself.

The closer my bond with God became and the more I focused on the things that were within my control( attitude, reactions, diet, lifestyle, choice in friends) the more peaceful life became.

Seven ways I’ve manifested happiness

1. Be with others who make you smile. My circle has shifted away from those energy drainers to life givers.
2. Imagine the best. I have learned to visualize the life I really want and I work very hard daily to get 1 step closer to achieving it.
3. Do things you love. I make time for what makes me happy- the sauna, sound meditation, quiet time, my loved ones.
4. Find purpose. Wellness makes me completely happy! It’s something about helping others recognize their unhealthy habits that are keeping them from being at their best and finding simple ways to create new healthy behaviors that will not only benefit their physical life but also mental and emotional.
5. Listen to your heart. I learned to value and trust the voice within. I had to shut off the outside world (tv, social media, phones, etc) until I was able to clearly hear my internal voice speak. I’ve always pretty much had my own mind but every now and then I would get distracted by what someone else said I should do or even what they were doing. I remembered that God gave me my life’s mission and everyone isn’t Privy to the details.
6. Push yourself, not others. It’s no one else’s responsibility for my fulfillment. I have the power to get where I want to go. I Stopped blaming others and took control of my own destiny.
7. Be open to change. Change doesn’t always feel good, but it is the one thing I can always count on. I Change will happen, I learned to make contingency plans and emotionally prepare myself for the ride.

Have the courage to leap towards your destiny! Purpose would not pursue you if you weren’t the chosen one 😊

They said-Tacoma, Your Life could be drastically different by the end of the year! Those were the words spoken to me when I embarked on a new adventure! God has been telling me that this year would be one of alignment, transformation and fruition🙏🏾 and i believed it but when that first check was deposited it became a real reality!

I had no idea how quickly things would unfold just because of my obedience! Don’t remain stuck in “decision mode” too long because it could delay your blessings!!! Because of my 1 decision 86 families have already been changed! Our goal is 120! It seems like a lot but when you’re connected to ambitious individuals who decided they wanted more FREEDOM, FINANCIAL RELIEF, and a FREE ninja there are no walls that they won’t push through!
