When in NYC, one must visit the oldest pharmacy . They have a huge selection of brands and products in store. I was impressed and took my time shopping. I decided to have them ship everything to my home as there wasn’t extra space in my luggage. They even shipped a package to a friend for me (I told them it was a gift and when my friend received the package, she said she didn’t want to open it because it was so pretty 😍).

Have you ever taken a trip and had your shopping haul shipped home? If not, I highly recommend it.

Surprisingly my morning routine is longer than my evening routine.

Decalt (won in a giveaway several months ago). It helps with congestion so I use it on my t-zone 2-3 times a week.

Future Focus Vitamin C Serum - best one out there IMO.

EGF Eye Serum - I use this on my upper and lower eye area. I don’t have before photos but I’ve used it for quite some time now and feel that it helps with firming (minimally, I’m 57 and don’t have unrealistic expectations).

Nectifirm - this is my first tube and I have a backup. Forgot to take a before photo but I think it’s helped with texture in my lines.

Auto Correct Eye Cream - I’ve read so many good reviews on this and an esthetician recently recommended it so I decided to give it a go. I’ve only begun using it but I like the light reflectors.

Peptides & Antioxidants Advanced Firming Daily Treatment was sent to me by the brand with no expectation of me posting about it. I’ve used this before and like it. It’s a nice moisturizer for summer.

Urban Environment Sun Dual Care Broad Spectrum SPF 40 with Hyaluronic Acid. I checked my stash for a sunscreen to find I HAD. NO. BACKUP. What?! So I picked this up at Sephora after testing several others on my arms and hands. I didn’t have time to order something. This is a cream and dries down nicely. I don’t feel greasy and midday my skin does not feel slick.

Opening a new tube of Future Focus Vitamin C Serum with 15% Ascorbic Acid. The tube itself is different from what I’ve used previously. I like this redesigned version much better than the original. It’s easier to squeeze out the serum.

A card is included with the serum showing colors indicating what stabilized Vitamin C looks like versus unstable Vitamin C. It takes me quite a while to use a tube of serum and I’ve had no problem with mine turning color.

I’ve had this in rotation for a year now. I finished my first jar in the summer and purchased another at the end of September. I’m at an age where I’m realistic and look for products to help slow down aging while keeping the eye area as firm as possible.

From the Jan Marini website:
This eye cream with peptides, retinol, hyaluronic acid, green tea extract, and CoEnzyme Q10 delivers dramatic improvement in the appearance of wrinkles around the eye for an ultra-smooth eye contour.

I agree with this statement (I might take out the word dramatic) but would add that it provides a lot of moisture and if that isn’t something you need then check out the Transformation Eye Cream which I used this summer. FYI, it does include shea butter in case that’s an ingredient you can’t use.

I’ve been looking forward to the launch of by and it’s finally here! He took the time to ensure he had the right formula and packaging. Definitely worth the wait for me.

I’ve been using this serum since August and my skin loves it. I’ve noticed brighter, radiant and smoother skin. It’s formulated with 15% Ascorbic Acid, other antioxidants and humectants.

A good Vitamin C is a must for me and now I’ve found one worth committing to long term.

Happy Friday! What are your thoughts about matte lipstick? For me, it’s always been last on the list for favorites. But recently I decided to try .70 Sheer Matte Lipstick💄 in Red Skies, and it surprised me in a good way. The color is not as sheer as I expected (which is what I want with a red) and it wears well without drying out my lips.

Recent empties:

(*) with and was gifted by the brand and I will purchase in the winter (it’s a beautifully rich cream). I love the scent and that it’s a refillable jar.

in Honor (clear) feels very good on my lips and it’s lightweight, but it doesn’t last long. I had to reapply multiple times and went through it very fast. This is not a repurchase for me as I prefer something thicker that lasts and can be worn at night if desired.

is a mini size and one that I’ve purchased over the years. It has very good pigment and gives the lashes both volume and some length.

6 Week Perfection sample - obviously not enough to determine if it works. It’s a thicker neck cream which (for me) would be good for the winter. I would consider purchasing.

has already been repurchased multiple times. It works.

Have you tried any of these? Thoughts?

I have two shades of nail polish by People of Color and love them both. They’re both light colors and my usual two coats provides the right amount of coverage (some brands have light colors but they’re sheer which is not my preference). This polish also dries fairly quickly which is a bonus. I haven’t tried their darker shades.
