POV: You built a space that feels just as good as it looks.
Some of you know this but my journey in the health and wellness space started early. My Mom started a fitness gym when I was a child and I spent my time after school there. It was great and it really introduced me into the concept of fitness and nutrition to make you strong and give you energy. It was never about becoming skinny and I fell in LOVE with at a very young age.
I started at App State as a Health Psychology major because I always wanted to help people feel good about themselves.
Decided PA school was a better option than an MD program and started pursuing medical specialties that would allow me the opportunity to use my passion for nutrition, health and wellness.
This is year 18 working in weight loss and aesthetics but it’s different. It’s special. This is the year I took a leap of faith (listened to God’s voice) and opened my own boutique medical clinic in which I can practice at a slower pace, spend more time with patients, and really delve into root cause issues.
Sometimes what starts as a Botox appointment turns into a discussion about Hormone Replacement and I LOVE that.
At first I felt insecure that I was starting such a small, intimate, “mom and pop” startup but the feedback has been amazing. I accidentally turned the place into a unique, “homey yet clinical” medspa that feels very VIP for each individual patient. I’m practicing medicine the way I had envisioned 18 years ago. Slower with intention and a large focus on getting to the root of the problem.
I have capabilities to draw labs, prescribe where appropriate, and spend a good bit of time on counseling. If you’re looking for a new wellness home with a more discreet, personalized vibe, feel free to reach out. Do I know all the answers? Absolutely not and the more I practice medicine the more I realize how little we all know. But do I tell people what has worked over the past 20+ years in the health and wellness space and create a customized plan that works for them? Absolutely.

When I started injecting 18 YEARS ago the goal was ALWAYS to keep things undetectable and my biggest challenge is making sure the husbands have NO idea we did anything. 😂
That should be the goal for Botox, Filler, literally everything. I’ve said this a million times but if you can see where your filler was placed it was placed poorly! Period. Full Stop.
My biggest fault of injecting is trying to do the minimal amount of units as possible to get the best possible outcome because I firmly believe if the worst thing we do is not enough, we can ALWAYS add more!
I know the data in regards to the amount of units needed to create a beautiful aesthetic result and maintain 3-4 month longevity. But I like to take everything into consideration. The current research, a patient’s past medical history, patient’s goals and desired outcome, and yes even budget because I want something long term and sustainable for aesthetic maintenance.
Usually, patients can go years treating with the same amount of units to achieve desired results but at some point we may need to switch the product or increase units. Knowing the research between each product is extremely important to when treating patients.
Not all injectors are the same. We use different units, different dilution ratios, different depths, different products and it all comes from real world experience.
I just recently had a patient tell me their previous injector refused to treat them unless they used a set amount (very high) number of units. That’s wild and immediately screamed lack of experience.
Injectors, I would encourage you to look at different products and appreciate the longevity data, molecular size of the product and rheology if we’re talking about filler. These things matter when it comes to a great outcome for your patients. I wish I could cookie cutter my treatments. It would make things so much easier but the reality is every patient and every treatment needs a personalized approach. Every single time.
