As some of you may know, in September my husband suffered a stroke which left him paralyzed on the left side. I had to come home from my primary job and find a way to cover 2 incomes. Once I got my footing I had the idea to transition my soap making into a blog where I teach soap making as well as offer tips on cooking, gardening, decluttering and making a handmade home as well as tips for caregiving. I knew that past medical experience would come in handy one day. Building a blog is hard work, ya’ll! My goal is to launch by the first of February. I will probably close this account but will leave a “forwarding address” for those who would like to come along and help me build a community. I would miss you all so much so you better come with me! ❤️

Hi everyone!

I just had to pop in and share some exciting news with you all! It’s been a whirlwind around here, but we’re finding our footing, and I’m thrilled to tell you about my latest venture. I’ve been pouring my heart into creating my brand-new blog, and I’m so excited to launch it by February 1st! Let me tell you, launching a blog is no small task, but it’s been such an amazing journey so far.

I’ve also just finished my very first ebook, packed with my most popular soap recipes, and I can’t wait for you to check it out! We’re going to talk about everything—soap-making, recipes, tips, and so much more. I’ve been testing ideas, learning tons of new things, and dreaming up all the ways to make this a space you’ll absolutely love. It’s a lot of hard work, but every bit of it is worth it knowing you’ll be part of this journey.

Jon is about the same, but he starts therapy outside the house tomorrow, which we’re really hopeful about. I think once the weather warms up and he can get outside more, he’ll blossom right along with the spring flowers—that’s my prayer!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that 2025 is off to an amazing start for you. I’m working on a page to go along with the blog, and you’ll definitely get an invite to the "grand opening" as soon as it’s ready. Thank you for all your encouragement and support—I couldn’t do this without you!

Changes are coming...

As most of you know...my husband suffered a stroke in September. Unfortunately, his recovery has been much slower than we had hoped. I will not be going back to work for a while, and so we did markets, but he cannot be left at home for any length of time. He is unable to get out of bed and solely reliant on me for care. The markets are just too cold for him and transferring to the car is difficult for both of us; although, we try to get him out several times a week. So we have had to make some decisions.

I'm excited about these changes and wanted to share them with you because one of the changes is that this page will be closing down soon. Honestly, I have never done much on this FB page. Most of my efforts were on Instagram, but that will be changing too.

We are moving our model from markets (at least for now. I love them, but we will revisit that in the spring) to blogging. This will allow me to stay home, where I'm needed. The blog will, of course, include soaping, but also some other things I love: simple living, thrifting, gardening, wholesome cooking, and creating a beautiful handmade home. These are things that I've always wanted to incorporate into my business. My vision is to have a post with a corresponding video once or twice a week and build a community of like-minded members to share ideas, learn and grow together. I will be focusing on growing this new FB group where we can develop a community. I'm not ready to share the name, but hope to be able to share it shortly.

Thank you to my tiny group of faithful followers. I love you. If you have any thoughts, I would love to hear them.

Life has been tough, but neither Jon nor I are ones to shy away from hard things. We know that God is good and can already see glimmers of hope. Thanks for all of your support. GREAT BIG HUGS!
