Everyone talks about leather getting better with time, but what does that look like? This sheath (right) has been an experiment for the last two years. On the left, you see a brand new RMJ Sparrow, for comparison. Normally, we tell people to add some leather conditioner about every six months, depending upon the environment that they live in. With this sheath, I wanted to see what would happen if I totally neglected it, but carried it everyday. This is two years in, and as you can see, it has just gotten better with age. This one is an IWB carry, so it gets daily polish from clothing. It has lived on my waistline. I work, I sweat, and as I live my life, the sheath and knife get a story of their own.
