I get this question ALOT!
There are so many reasons the number on the scale goes up and down!
So my advice:
🔑Weekly weigh-ins provide better/ more balanced information than daily
🔑Don’t change course based on 1 weigh in! Sustainable changes are more Important than 1 reading on your scale!
🔑If you suspect your weight may be up due to one of these factors (constipation, hard workout with lots of inflammation afterwards, extra salty meal the previous day, more alcohol intake than usual, etc), skip the weigh in for a day or 2!
Progress is not always linear! Don’t take your eye off the ultimate goal- your healthiest self ❤️
Take a walk after you eat! It’s great for your body ❤️💪🏻🦵🏻 Begin with Skin Med Spa

One of my favorite tips ➡️
When eating out, order off of the appetizer menu or split an entree. You can always eat something in a few hours if you get hungry again (which is better than overeating)!
But if that isn’t possible, plan ahead for leftovers!
This is my bowl from Chipotle (steak, pinto and brown beans, veggies, corn, and cheese). I immediately divided it in half so that I wouldn’t mindlessly overeat!
It was the right amount of food to fill me up and fuel my body, and now I have another meal that I just have to heat up.
And I didn’t overeat and have that miserable overly full feeling!

If you want to add a weighted vest to your routine, here are some tips for selection!
🏃🏼♀️ An adjustable weight vest is a perfect choice (especially for beginners!)
You can vary the weight based on your activity (more weight if walking, less weight for a hike or body weight strength workout!).
As your fitness improves, you won’t need to replace your vest.
And one weighted vest can be shared among family members.
🏃🏼♀️Ideally you should select a weight that is 5-10% of your body weight.
🏃🏼♀️ Your vest should be adjustable so that you can secure it snugly. Weight needs to be evenly distributed across your front and back.
🏃🏼♀️ The material should be durable, easy to clean and sweat resistant.
There are a lot of choices online, and at sporting goods and retail stores you can try on different styles and brands!
