I’ve been working with the helping them prep for their grand re-opening after being closed for two years due to the pandemic.

In the spring I was able to refresh and redesign their gift shop flexing my visual merchandising design muscles.

Today I swapped out some outdated 80’s high gloss planters that housed artificial palm trees. Since we are unable to install organic live plants, we chose to warm the space up by bringing in natural materials for the planters, classic and timeless terracotta.

These past two weeks have been a dizziness of busy. I pulled off my first successful corporate event by staging live plants and live plant tabletop centerpieces.

The success of this could not have happened without the help of my amazing team members .delicada Thank you so much for all of your hard work leading up to this event and the long setup/breakdown days.

Join us for our second community event in partnership with the Mckinley Park this Saturday from 1-3pm.

If you have not been here, I highly recommend coming to visit us there as it really is a hidden gem in the city. It’s a beautiful natural play space for children and adults alike.

We’ll be hosting a community art project called “We are McKinley Park” and invite you to draw what you think makes this community so incredible.

The play garden will be hosting a scavenger hunt, giving out goodie bags and we’ll have snacks for the little ones!

We’d love to take this time to thank our friends far and near in making our first event a success. Working together in whatever capacity proves that when people come together, great things can happen.

A quick reminder for our neighbors that our event is happening today at the McKinley Park library meeting room from 3-6.

We are very conscious about the rising numbers in Covid cases and want to ensure that everyone is safe. This event is a pop-in/pop-out event. Come by and pick up a free art kit gift box (supplies are limited, first come first serve). We’ll also have a holiday backdrop for family photos.

Special thanks to Alderman Cardenas for supplying the gift boxes and supplies and of course those who sent monetary donations to make these special gifts possible for our community.
