As Chicago’s Head Spa Educator, I’m training the next generation of professionals in the art and science of scalp wellness with a curriculum of which I personally built for textured hair. I built the only Head Spa curriculum designed for textured and coily hair from the ground up —not adapted, not adjusted, built for it. I am a seasoned Licensed Cosmetologist in both Chicago and Los Angeles as well as a Clinical Trichologist. I have an extensive background of hands on experience and specialize in healthy hair.

Students who train with me are equipped for the clientele most trainings leave them unprepared for.

Healthy hair does not start with the style—it starts with what’s happening at the scalp.

“Protective Styles” —aka by me as neglective styles— means the scalp goes weeks, sometimes months, without real care, cleansing and attention. Buildup accumulates, circulation slows, and tension sits in places you can’t see under quick weaves, sew-ins, braids, or locs. I teach how to restore circulation to the follicles that have been under pressure and neglect. And, how to give the scalp an optimal environment to heal and generate healthy hair growth.
