Dear White Moon Clients and Friends

Our move is happening a little faster than we planned. We closed on our home a week ago. The sellers were going to live there a month after closing, but have already moved out.

We will be making our first move to the new place at the end of the month, and will be closed from Sunday, Aug 22 to Tuesday, Sept.7. The last day of acupuncture treatment will be Saturday, Aug 21. Pharmacy pick up, mailing, and phone consults will be available from Wed. Sept. 8 to Sat. Sept. 25.

After September 25, we will be making the big move, and not be able to offer pharmacy orders and phone consultations until Wednesday, Oct. 13. Be sure to stock up on your herbs accordingly.

Dear White Moon Clients and Friends,

After 29 years at 1309 W. Albion, we will be moving late September/early October to Michigan to be closer to family.

We are in the process of purchasing a home there where we can have the space to open our clinic. We’ve been renting our space in Chicago for so long, but we can’t afford to buy the space for both work and home in the city. Once we move, our business will be renamed Green Medicine Acupuncture and Apothecary.

Mary Helen will still be available to provide your medical care through phone consults. We will also continue to mail out pharmacy orders. Before leaving, we will recommend a few acupuncturists in Chicago that Mary Helen has been colleagues with for many years.

It’s sad for us to say goodbye to all of our clients. Some of you have been coming here for the past three decades. It’s been an honor to treat all of you, and your friends, family, and pets. We hope you will continue to use our services after we move. Mary Helen has worked with people and their pets in other states many times throughout the years over the phone with a lot of success.

We’ve recently begun to tell people about our move in person, and we’re getting a lot of requests to get together before we go. We really appreciate the opportunity to say goodbye, however, with the amount of packing and preparation we need to do before we leave, it does not leave us any room for social time. We will leave the clinic and pharmacy open as long as possible until right before we go.

We need a lot of moving supplies, like large boxes, wine and liquor case boxes, padded/bubble wrap mailing envelopes, and any packing materials you may be able to collect for us. You can bring them in at your convenience, and drop them off on our front porch if we’re not available.

We will greatly miss seeing all of you. You have become our friends and family. Thank you for all of your support keeping our clinic going and helping us provide alternative health care to the community.

Happy Spring! We have crocuses, periwinkles, and daffodils blooming in our backyard!

This past year has been difficult for everyone-- particularly small businesses. Our business has really suffered and we need your support to keep going. We have always offered most of our supplements at 20 percent off the retail price. However, we have a few companies that won’t allow their products to be discounted.

Please consider buying all of your herbs, vitamins, CBD, and nutritional supplements from us instead of large corporations like Amazon, Whole Foods, etc. We have multiple distributors and can order most brands. If you send us a list of what you use, and the price you pay, we can try to offer it at a better price, creating a win-win for everyone.

Mary Helen offers phone consults for those who live far away or don’t want to come into the clinic. We ship out pharmacy orders several times a week using priority mail.
