Allergy to lash extensions is a thing, believe it or not. Despite from being a first timer or wearing them before for a long time the eyes can suddenly develop a sensitivity to lash extensions. A reaction to cyanoacrylate (an active ingredient in lash extension glue/adhesive) can cause your eyes or eye to itch, swell, get red or you might even feel pain. This can develop immediately or after a couple of days. Unfortunately if you develop an allergy to extensions your no longer a candidate for lash extensions. The best thing to do before you get lash extensions is ask to get a patch test. (A patch test is basically a test to see if you are allergic to the lash glue.) All lash artist should know what a patch test is and if yours doesn't know what it is they we're not trained properly. (The patch test is a drop of glue administered on top of your skin usually behind the ear or in between your arm fold. You leave it on there for 24 hours or less depending if your skin reacts. If your skin reacts you remove the patch test or if you don't get any reaction within the 24 hours then you're good to go which means you have no allergies.)

Lashes have a grouth cycle about every 3 months we have a brand new set of lashes. (What does this mean)
About 2-3 lashes fall daily and in a week that's about 14-21 lashes and in a month that's 56-84 and so on...(you might not notice this but when you sleep, rub your eye, take a shower, or wash your face your lash can fall.)
So as a lash technician our job is to keep them looking beautiful fluffy full and prim that's why we book you a 2 to 3 week appointment.
