For loc wearers who have their reasons to not braid and band, it is well understood.
-Some want more volume in the beginning years.
-Some physically cannot do this and maintain their lifestyle
-Some want their ends to close as early as possible
-Some have locs that are too big for this
-Some just donβt wunna.
For everyone else with 0.5β or 1.5cm or smaller bases, wanting an easy way to maintain highly structured locsβhow often is setting happening to maintain neat freshness? π€

Third time is officially the charm! πβ¨
My client and I had the hardest time finding effective, install solutions for straight/wavy feather crochet hairβespecially trying to hide dark knots on blonde tones.
Because backcombing straight human hair completely washes out in water, this install is designed around her natural grow-out and the following strategies:
Shown Strategies:
πΉ Tree braids at the parts to boost coverage and hide the feather string.
πΉ Fewer loops around smaller cornrows to reduce root bulk.
πΉ Tied individual strands along the sides and middle parts for seamless blending.
The Hair:
Shoutout to .co for making the softest, lowest-shedding blonde human hair Iβve ever worked with. Even the blonde stays silky smooth after multiple uses! ππππΏ
What would make this Crochet hair Magic? An ombrΓ© root string would be a game-changer to blend those dark knots.
Stay tuned for my full video breaking down this 3rd iteration, plus my client's personal insights on her 3-install journey! π₯
Intelligent repetition is the only way to improve a skill. πβ¨
The video captures stitch braid practice on my client.
Growth requires constant refinement, and honest feedback is exactly how intelligence happens in this craft.
The lines are getting cleaner, and the tension control is a work in progress. May go against my usual and layer on some more braid gel. ππ«
Please be kind, but please be completely honest!π How is the technique looking? Leave some feedback in the comments below!

Locs are like paintings. The more meaningful the story behind the formation, the deeper the connection to the style. π¨β¨
This time-lapse captures the retightening of Smedium locs and a trim. The client's journey began with box braids started by her mother, proving a beautiful truth: there are no rigid rules for locs.
Locs mature and grow in every imaginable way.
There are no "bad" locsβonly locs a client wants, and locs a client does not want. While the western world often pushes hyper-neat, corporate standards, E-Exclusive Hair embraces all foundations. ππ±
Weather your locs were founded by a loved one or a previous stylist, All loc journeys are welcome. The mission is to take hair to the exact place desired.

How should a service be charged when the client doesn't fit a standard booking menu? π΅βπ«
β¨Consider a recent appointment for a petite 15-year-old client receiving knotless box braids. Typically, 15-year-olds are charged adult prices because they have adult-sized heads. This client, however, has a smaller head and fine hair.
While a standard head requires about 70 parts for this size braid, this install only required 48 braids on the exact same parting foundation. Standard booking sites only offer "add-ons," not "subtractions."
Some stylists force a rigid count, like "medium braids = 55 braids," on every single head. While that creates consistent timing for the stylist, it creates inconsistent results for the client. A smaller braid would have worked well for this specific client, but the majority of clients are not petite 15-year-olds with fine hair.
Should every client have a completely custom booking menu?
Enter Hourly Pricing.
Services are now priced strictly by the quoted hour. Regular clients know the approximate timing of the service, and new clients receive an exact quote during the initial consultation. As a major bonus: if an appointment happens to go over the quoted time, the overtime is completely free. π
Time and quality, with little to no compromise.
