All Things HairTys:
presents Fall Hair Prep
,let’s get into it 💜🍂
🍂✨ Fall is here, and your hair care routine needs to change with the season!
Today’s segment is all about transitioning your hair for the cooler weather , because Fall can either be your hair’s best friend or worst enemy.
Here’s what you need to know this season:
✅ Moisture, Moisture, Moisture
Cooler air = drier strands.
Add deep conditioners, leave-in sprays, and seal with oils like castor or jojoba. Your hair will thank you!
✅ Protective Styles Done Right
Braids, twists, or wigs are perfect for fall —but don’t forget, your scalp still needs hydration underneath. A dry scalp leads to flakes, itchiness, and breakage.
✅ Scalp Reset
Swap harsh shampoos for gentle cleansers. Use scalp oils/serums weekly to soothe and protect. Think of your scalp as the soil ; if it’s not healthy, nothing grows.
✅ Seasonal Trim
Snip away those split ends and sun-damaged strands from the summer. A little trim = a lot more growth retention.
✅ Night Routine Upgrade
Satin scarves, bonnets, or pillowcases reduce friction and breakage. Don’t let all that moisture work go to waste overnight!
🍂✨ Bonus Tip: Fall is also the perfect time to treat your hair from the inside out. Drink more water, add leafy greens, and keep your body nourished so your hair can thrive.
💜 With the right prep, your crown will glow and grow strong all season long!

✨ Salon Etiquette 101: What Every Stylist Should & Shouldn’t Do ✨
Clients talk — and many of their complaints about salons can be avoided with simple professionalism. Here are the rules every stylist should follow:
✅ DO:
• Be on time and respect your client’s schedule.
• Post clear pricing and stick to it (no surprise add-ons).
• Keep your hands, tools, and space clean—sanitation builds trust.
• Offer clients breaks during long services (especially kids).
• Have patience with tender scalps—braiding shouldn’t feel like punishment.
• Provide Wi-Fi, water, or light comforts when possible.
• Communicate if you’re running behind instead of leaving clients guessing.
• Respect the client’s hair journey—encourage growth and care, not just style.
❌ DON’T:
• Show up late or cancel last minute without notice.
• Take long personal breaks while the client is in your chair.
• Leave clients waiting while you run errands or handle personal business.
• Talk negatively about other clients or stylists.
• Ignore client requests about part sizes, braid tightness, or style preference.
• Eat over a client’s head or use your phone constantly during their service.
• Add extra charges at checkout that were never discussed.
• Record clients or post their photos without permission.
💜 At HairTys, we believe respect, honesty, and professionalism are the foundation of great styling. Clients should leave feeling beautiful, not frustrated.

💜 HairTys Hair Segment:
“Flakes Ain’t Always Dandruff”
⸻
🎯 Main Topic:
“Dandruff, Dry Scalp, or Psoriasis? Know the Difference Before You Pick a Product.”
⸻
🧠 Break It Down Into These Key Points:
1. Dry Scalp vs. Dandruff vs. Psoriasis – What’s What?
• Dry Scalp: Small, white flakes + tightness/itchiness. Caused by dehydration or product overuse.
• Dandruff (Seborrheic Dermatitis): Oily, yellowish flakes, itching, and even redness. Caused by yeast on the scalp.
• Scalp Psoriasis: Thick, silvery-white scales, red patches, and inflammation. It’s autoimmune—not from buildup.
⸻
2. Common Mistakes People Make:
• Using oil for everything—especially on dandruff or psoriasis (can make it worse!)
• Scrubbing flakes off aggressively
• Ignoring signs that it’s something medical
• Piling on product without addressing the root issue
⸻
3. How to Tell the Difference at Home:
• Does your scalp itch but feel tight? → Probably dry scalp
• Are flakes greasy or yellow? → Likely dandruff
• Do you have thick patches or flakes that don’t go away with washing? → Might be psoriasis
⸻
4. When to See a Dermatologist:
• If flakes are persistent no matter what you try
• If you notice patches spreading or cracking
• If over-the-counter stuff burns or causes more irritation
⸻
5. HairTys Scalp Tips:
• Use a scalp brush when shampooing to lift buildup
• Use tea tree or peppermint oil (diluted) for dandruff
• Avoid styling over inflamed or flaky patches
• Incorporate a clarifying wash day once a month

✨ALL THINGS HairTys ✨
Segment is one everybody needs to hear. Especially if you’ve ever experienced hair loss or thinning edges.”
⸻
🧠 HairTys Hair Segment: Let’s Talk About Alopecia
💬 Real Talk:
Alopecia is an important and often misunderstood topic Too many people are silently struggling with thinning edges, bald spots, or patches—thinking it’s just “bad hair” or stress. But in reality, it could be alopecia… and ignoring it won’t make it go away.
⸻
🔍 What is Alopecia?
Alopecia is a medical condition that causes hair loss. There are different types, including:
• Alopecia Areata: Patchy hair loss caused by the immune system attacking hair follicles
• Traction Alopecia: Caused by tight styles that pull on the hair over time
• Androgenetic Alopecia: Genetic hair thinning (common in both men & women)
⸻
🚨 Signs You Shouldn’t Ignore:
• Thinning edges or patches getting worse over time
• Burning, itching, or soreness in your scalp
• Bald spots that keep spreading
• No hair regrowth in areas even after taking styles down
⸻
👩🏽⚕️ What You Need to Know:
• Early detection matters—the longer you wait, the harder it is to treat
• Protective styles can help or hurt depending on how they’re installed
• See a dermatologist for a true diagnosis
• Hair oils alone won’t reverse medical alopecia
⸻
💜 HairTys Tip:
If your scalp is telling you something, listen to it. Let’s normalize talking about hair loss without shame. Your hair health matters—and it starts with education and care. 💆🏽♀️✨
