for those of you who don’t know me yet, hi, I’m Amyrenee. I’m now in my 20’s and I started working online next to my 9-5.
And like many of you already know my 9-5 was really a 7-5.

I shouldn’t have to give you my entire medical history, list every symptom, or explain the worst moments of my life just to convince you that what I’m experiencing is real.

Chronic illness is already exhausting without feeling like I’m on trial every time I try to talk about it.

You don’t have to fully understand someone’s pain to respect it. You don’t have to experience it yourself to believe them. And you definitely don’t need to make someone prove they’re struggling before you offer them compassion.

Sometimes the most helpful thing you can say is simply, “I believe you. How can I support you?”
