“Creating an elongated, textured braid inspired by Zendaya was all about maintaining a balance of structure, softness, and movement, creating controlled texture throughout and of course, building length with one of my favorite clip-in hair extension hacks” ✨

To prep this hair design, I started by layering the Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray throughout the hair to create a smooth, workable foundation with lasting hold, humidity protection, and a touchable finish that still allowed for movement. I followed with the Dry Texture Spray to add grip and movement, allowing the hair strands to combine in the most effortless way. Both products were brushed through for even distribution before creating the undone waves and curls that would become the base of the braid.

Once the clip-in hair extensions were secured, I utilized the Treatment Mist throughout to create a lightweight slip while braiding, making the hair easier to section and manipulate while adding hydration, shine, and frizz control, all without adding weight. Intentionally leaving pieces out of the braid for added dimension, I then refined those sections further with the Sculpting Pomade to smooth flyaways, enhance definition, and create a polished, high-shine finish with flexible control. This product was truly the star of the show and took this overall hair design to the next level!

To create added volume within the braid, I applied the Texture & Volume Powder throughout, pinching and pulling each section, while also applying to the pieces left out of the braid for added dimension and fullness.

This dreamy braided hairstyle might just be a new favorite - and it’s all thanks to my fav products by Moroccanoil for helping to bring this vision to life!
