This Thanksgiving wasn’t the typical one for me. Instead of a big dinner or a picture-perfect table, I spent the day stirring pot after pot of chicken and dumplings — and it ended up being exactly what my heart needed.

I made multiple batches and handed them out around old Colorado city to our unhoused neighbors. A warm meal isn’t everything, but it is something. And sometimes “something” is enough to remind us how connected we all really are.

Grateful for the chance to give, to listen, and to show up in a different way this year. 🧡🍲✨

My client came in needing a solid retwist and some help with a few thinning spots — so we combined the locs, tightened the base, and boom 💥 a healthier, fuller set of locs!🙌

✨ Transformations go deeper than hair ✨

Today, I had the honor of doing a full comb-out and detangle for a beautiful woman who’s been battling serious health challenges. Because of her condition, she’s often bedridden — which made caring for her hair incredibly difficult.

When she sat in my chair, her hair told a story of strength, patience, and resilience. 💪🏽 I took my time, treated her gently, and slowly brought her hair back to life. By the end, she looked in the mirror with tears in her eyes and the biggest smile on her face — and that moment reminded me why I do what I do. ❤️

This wasn’t just about hair. It was about giving her a little piece of herself back — confidence, comfort, and care. 💕
