Did you know you may be able to use your healthcare benefits in a different way?!? 👀💆🏾‍♀️

If you have an HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account), massage therapy might be an eligible expense when being used as part of care for a qualifying medical condition!

Depending on your plan, you may need documentation from a healthcare provider (Letter of Medical Necessity/LMN) and detailed receipts from your massage therapist. This is one of the reasons your intake forms — and the information you provide about what brings you in for massage — are so important!

Massage can be a wonderful addition to your self-care routine while helping you become more aware of tension, discomfort, and what's happening in your body. If you're already using massage to help manage a health concern, it may be worth checking your HSA/FSA benefits to see whether your sessions qualify.

✨ Check with your individual plan administrator before submitting expenses, as eligibility and documentation requirements can vary.

Vulnerability- Making Massage Make Sense with Emily C., LMT! #massagetherapy #emilyclmt # 06/29/2026

Hey peeps! 🐥🐣

If you've ever thought about getting a massage, I'm willing to bet you've *also* imagined every awkward, embarrassing, or off-putting thing that could happen during your session 😅

Here's the thing: Being vulnerable isn't always easy, and if it were, everyone would be doing it!

Whether it's your first massage or your fiftieth, trusting someone enough to truly relax can feel a little scary. My goal is to help you feel comfortable enough to let go of tension, laugh a little, and leave feeling like a refreshed version of yourself!

In the spirit of Vulnerability, below you will find a few of my own personal (and potentially controversial) Fundamental Massage Truths:

✨ Bodies are wonderfully awkward.
✨ Feet are waaaaaaay less scary and unpleasant than many people seem to think?
✨ Relaxed bodies can be clumsy and unpredictable 🥸
✨ Snoring or falling asleep during your massage? That's basically the highest compliment your body can dish out!!!🥱💤
✨ Gifting your friends and family some form of massage (manis, pedis, and aesthetics included, y'all!) is a great way to encourage them to take care of their bodies in a non-strenuous fashion 💆🏾‍♀️💅🏾
✨ And for the love of all things massage... I will always choose unshaven bodies over fresh stubble. Every. Single. Time. 😂🤣

Ridiculous Injuries of Daily Living:

Nothing dramatic—just wrung out a towel the wrong way and my hand, wrist, and neck said "sweet summer child, what have you DONE?!?!?!?"

Hypermobility has a way of turning small moments into lasting reminders. Sometimes I zig when I simply should’ve zagged.

But the real story? The people who show up for me when my body taps out. My besties don’t play about me, and I’m so grateful for their love and support!!!💜✨🙌🏾

Take care of your body today—and appreciate the ones who help you listen to your body when it just won’t cooperate 🥹

In my new video series: "Making Massage Make Sense", I will be addressing things that the *average human* may find confusing about massage therapy and/or bodywork in general.

Take a peek at the video to learn about the anatomy of the massage table I use with my clients ✨👀💆🏾‍♀️

A huge thank you to the family, friends, and guardians who have helped me build not only my business, but the self-confidence to put my message out to the world!🥹💜
