One of my favorite parts of being a bridal makeup artist is that it isn’t about telling a bride what she can or can’t do—it’s about working together to create a look that feels like her.

My bride found a lipstick she absolutely loved, and honestly? I understood why. The color was beautiful. The only issue was that it was pulling all the attention to her lips instead of allowing the entire look to shine together.

So we met in the middle.

I incorporated the lip product she loved and adjusted it so it complemented the overall vision instead of competing with it.

Collaboration > control, every time.

Your wedding makeup is not the place for “good enough” 🤍

Your friend might be good at makeup… but bridal makeup is an entirely different skill set. A professional bridal makeup artist is thinking about flash photography, longevity, skin prep, timelines, color scheme and undertones, different lighting, tears, sweat, touch-ups, sanitation, and how your makeup will wear for 10+ hours — not just how it looks freshly applied.

There is a HUGE difference between someone being good at makeup and someone being ✨experienced✨ in wedding makeup. On your wedding day, you deserve more than “this should work.” You deserve someone who knows exactly what they’re doing from the second they unzip their kit.
