🤎 A Little Brown Suga Treats Update 🤎

First, we WILL BE CLOSED this weekend as we prepare for two large catering events. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve our community in that capacity! 💝

As we’ve mentioned before, we’ve also been dealing with the frustration of having our business repeatedly reported to the State of Ohio.

For example, this past weekend, someone reported our strawberry cheesecake pound cake (see pic below) because regular cheesecake is not shelf stable. Thankfully, after further investigation, there were no repercussions for us, but having to deal with situations like this on a weekly basis is incredibly frustrating.

I’m from the South, and I spent more than a decade living in the Pacific Northwest. In all of that time, I’ve never experienced this level of negativity and unnecessary hostility surrounding something as simple as baking and sharing good food with people.

There ARE SOME truly amazing people here in Columbus, and we are so thankful for those of you who have genuinely supported us. ❤️

At the same time, we’ve heard you loud and clear when you say you want to see Brown Suga Treats in a storefront.

So, while we continue to navigate everything that comes with operating as a home bakery, we’re also going to start putting our energy toward finding the right storefront for Brown Suga Treats.

That is ultimately where we want to take this.

After our catering events this weekend, we will still be accepting orders throughout the week for:
