Beyond the Turn
Wife, Mom of 4, Nurse practitioner all while helping one of my children through an eating disorder.
Life has changed some but the journey has lead me to want to raise awareness and make a change!
When going on a run walking is not failing. When seeing everyone else run, but you are not there yet....that does not make you less than! Movement is key and walking is ok. Even if it's to the end of your driveway, around your kitchen, whatever you can do, just do it and be proud of it!
First off....I had no clue the instants go to everyone and didn't realize I was on this account 🤦🏼♀️🤣
Ok, for the post....anyone else once you start cleaning one room you realize all of the other rooms need to be cleaned too? Now it's been 3 hours and you haven't even eaten breakfast yet....that was me before I died on my run. ALWAYS FUEL BEFORE YOU RUN!!!!

It's funny that I talk about weight loss and weight gain. Honestly there is a fine line with this topic. Let's stop "dieting" and just create a well balanced diet and daily movement of some sort. There are too many trends/dads being shoved down our throats. Find what's best for you but do it the right way!
Interview with Nora is on hold for now, but that is her right as it is her journey. I will continue to speak on my part of the journey as a mom, wife, nurse practitioner, care giver and everything in between while also dealing with perimenopause and anxiety
If you can make it to the end of this video, you're a true follower! Haha. JK but today is just an open commentary on my personal struggles with anxiety recently. I don't want it to just be words of wisdom. I also want it to be words of hurt but then also words of success when those times come. I just want this to be a space where you see hard times and good times and know that you're not alone. Or if you've come out on top from something like this, share it. Let us know. We want to celebrate those things. But I also want to be a space for people to know even someone who looks like they have it all together or sounds like they have it all together. That's not always the case.
Anxiety, depression, pain, loss....all of these have different meanings for different people and impact each person differently. Don't ever feel like your concerns are not as important as the person next to you. We all have our own troubles. The test truly comes with how we show up for each other in those moments.
Rambled a little today 🤷🏼♀️ we always say "don't judge a book by its cover" and normally that is meant for those who may be "ugly/mean' on the exterior and nice and sweet on the inside. But sometimes it can mean that someone is wearing a mask of happiness and living freely but internally feel trapped and less than. This is for our friends, children, family, parents and spouses. The signs aren't always obvious, but let's make talking face to face a thing. Know the ones you love and love the ones you know.
