🥳 It’s my birthday…this is 37! 🎂🥹

Off to work, but decided to still get cute for the day. 💋🤓

💯Life has been LIFING the last couple of years! 😅

🎢 I went from losing 220lbs naturally in 18 months, to maintaining that loss for 3 years, to getting surgery that removed over 10lbs of loose skin as the “final step” in my weight loss journey, to having that surgery trigger my unknown underlying lipedema and lymphedema. Post op was the first time in my life that I felt like I had no control over my body, and that honestly broke me with everything else that was happening in my life (see below). And it’s on me for letting that break my spirit.

⚠️ I am NOT saying that my regain was solely due to lipedema, it’s just one of many factors in my story. I also went through a tumultuous divorce ending a 9 year relationship, major depression and anxiety, and many TBI’s/post concussion syndrome during this time which led me to turn to food for comfort. Although, I’m very proud to say I have remained binge free since I first started this journey in 2017. I’m not happy about the regain, but also not ashamed. I did what I needed to do to survive one of the darkest times in my life, and that’s okay. Now I get the chance to rebuild. 💪🏻

So what’s the plan? DON’T GIVE UP & KEEP GOING! I’m going to keep showing up for myself, regardless of how my outward appearance may look or what others think about it. I learned through all of this to really truly love myself at every size and in every season of my life, because outward appearance can change in a heartbeat, but I never want to lose my sparkle again. ✨
