A little bit of TLC can go a long way! So glad she’s chosen me to be a part of her self care and pampering ❤️ I cut her hair to maximize volume and accentuate her curl pattern . Then once all was said and done I went in with some light stylers so she didn’t feel as though her hair was heavy. When was the last time you gave your hair some love? Can you believe we only cut 2 inches off? ✂️This was her first haircut/salon experience and she rocked it! We started with a curly cut, followed by getting her hair hydrated and finished up with styling products to help her curls pop! She had some fun with scissors at home and we’re making the most of it! These after photos don’t do her locks justice, as we were fighting the wind 💨

One of my favorite parts of being a stylist is showing clients what their hair is capable of. My guest came in wanting a big change. Growing up, I never knew the impact my hair would have on my life. Because of a woman named Lorraine Massey, a road of acceptance and understanding has been paved for those of us with waves, curls, and coils.

I was given the opportunity over this past weekend to meet and experience all of her knowledge and methods for cutting and styling hair to enhance and embrace its beauty.

I am so excited to bring back this practice and positive way of thinking to my clients.

During day 2 of our Curly World cutting course my model came to me from North Carolina, expressing her desire to grow her hair out. We went through curl by curl using a process called oxygenating. We were able to freshen up her ends and maintain her length! A haircut doesn’t always have to be a drastic change and I loved being able to help her maintain the beautiful locks she has!

Over the weekend I traveled to NYC for one on one education taught by Lorraine Massey, the author of Curly Girl: The Handbook.

During our consultation she expressed wanting to lose length and gave me free reign over her shape. I was able to give her a fresh look with tons of movement by utilizing Lorraine’s curl by curl cutting technique!

I’m so thankful that my model traveled from Philadelphia to NYC to be a part of this experience!

I had so much fun with this guest, we did a custom haircut to accentuate these beautiful silver locks. I am a proud mother of two, and no matter how busy our schedules get, I believe it is extremely important to take some time out for pampering and self care. I strive daily to give each and every one of my guests a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

I have been licensed since 2019, and am constantly receiving continued education in order to ensure you get the best results possible. I have a passion for everything curls, and strive to help every curly girl/guy learn their curls’ full potential! I am presently working on my Curly World cutting certification so my curly clients can get top notch curly cuts!

While most stylists perform certain services to help boost their income, I will never recommend anything you don’t want/need in order to make an extra buck. My goal is for every person who sits in my chair to leave feeling confident in themself. I never want a guest to feel anything less than beautiful and unique.
When I’m not in the salon, I am more often than not enjoying life with my family. We love trips to the beach and the mountains. We love any and all playtime outside, whether it be playing tag or throwing the football, we just love being together. With so many activities going on and so little time in the day, I have had to learn to make my hair routine as quick and efficient as possible, and I would love to share all of my tips and tricks with you!
