Always a distraction!

You know that feeling... you sit down with your beverage of choice, ready to take on your task list and you just have one distraction after another.... preventing you from accomplishing much of anything.

No, just me??

Well.....That's life, right? And where would we be without all of those blessings?! 💞

Did you know that what your hair color looks like in the bowl/while processing often isn't what it will look like finished? ⬇️⬇️

I'll never forget the first time I used a blonde laquer color and it was processing BLACK 😱 talk about terrifying for both the client and myself! I turned to another stylist, trying not to panic and she nonchalantly says "oh no, thats just how it processes.... you're good" 🥵

Thankfully it DID turn out good, PHEW!!

Feeling awkward lately?

In my space I want you to be yourself completely. My goal is to make you as comfortable as possible and I'll bet that by the end of your appointment, you'll feel like you just hung out with one of your best friends 😉

Christmas definitely feels different this year. We did more online shopping than ever, tried to hit as many boutiques/small businesses as we could, wanted to do baking and all the things...... and we failed. 😂😂😂 But I did get a handful of cookies done just for Santa around midnight!

Hey loves! So, as if yesterday I've been married for 5 years! My hubs and I met back in April 2011 and while our first couple of years together was up and down, we definitely learned how to ride this life together! When I thought about our upcoming anniversary and thought of doing pictures for it I was hesitant.... I'm really NOT comfortable in front of a camera. I pick myself apart, like I'm sure most of us do. So I thought about all the times I've felt the best about myself and it clicked.... Of COURSE, I'm always my most confident self when my hair is long and full! 》》》》
Time to put my extensions back in! So here I am, feeling my best in a dress I've been obsessed with since I first saw it on amazon and my long, full hair. It really just does something for me that I cant fully describe other than feeling beautiful with or without being dressed up or wearing makeup. It definitely boosts my confidence everytime (not to mention my husband's eyebrows 😜).

Can you believe this is her hair completely NATURAL?! When this babe told me back in the fall that she'd never colored her hair I couldn't believe it! I totally thought it was color but this is just the way her hair lightens in the summer time. ▪︎
However, she decided it was time for a change and wanted a blonde balayage and I'm so glad because I absolutely love this girl! She's fun, spunky and a little sassy! 😆

Sadly this is my formal announcement that my salon Brookelyn & Company will be closed until May 1, 2020.

Unfortunately as a non-essential business we cannot re-open our salon by order of our President and Governor. This is hard. But we will get through this!

Transformation from balayage to full highlights!

☆ I think a good portion of us are pretty worried right now about the Covid-19 Virus. Whether we're worried for our health/the health of our loved one's, our bill's being paid or whether or not you'll have a job when this all blows over.
-- My thoughts and feelings have been all over the place.... definitely all the feels and in these uncertain time's it can be hard to keep those thoughts positive. So instead, I'm trying to take this time to be thankful and cautious. Thankful for a career that I love, a family that mean's everything to me and an amazing support system.

•• So, in this time I am working on the business side of my business and project's around home that I never have or make the time for along with spending quality time with my baby girl.

What I'd like to know is...... What are you doing with all of this craziness going on??
