Appreciation post for all the mommas out there planning their weddings! It’s so special to have our kids witness the love and the union of our family! However, it’s a DOOZY to juggle parenthood, full time jobs and hustle to make the wedding of your dreams a reality! This one’s goes out to you!! As a mother of two, who also planned and paid for her own wedding - I am here for you!! I am here to support you and your vision in anyway possible. That goes for ALL of my brides too✨

I was a bride in the dark. I had no idea what on earth I was doing! The first of all my friends to get married and the only wedding I went to were family weddings when I was much younger. Oh my goodness, I was a mess! I need a redo for my ten year 😅 After styling my own wedding, I immediately started my journey in the bridal industry and I’ve been so happy blessing brides ever since!! My favorite day is wedding day✨

Shoutout to for bringing all the razzle dazzle to our engagement shoot which seems like yesterday but can you believe it’s been 7 years!? Although, I feel like I don’t even know who my husband is without his locs now 🤭

Looking back, the universe has been pulling us to Rhode Island for quite some time!! One of the first times I went to visit Aaron during spring break in college on my way home in the middle of the night I decided I’d run out of gas. Where? Literally, in front of the exit we take to get home now! Our engagement shoot was downtown Providence. Again, less than 10 minutes from where we bought our home! And our wedding was at the which is also cool 10 minutes from our house! Listen, the universe, she speaks!

WILLOWDALE!!! An absolute DREAM VENUE!! I cannot wait to get back in this space to make more magic next month with a new team of vendors! I was able to lock in a few of the vendors below to bless the day with me again. You’ll have to stay tuned to see who 🤭

- Harry Potter, people! I’m a filthy little mudblood ⚡️ I love to make magic. I’m a mystical creature if I do say so myself ✨🧚🏽‍♀️ My wands are my favorite hot tools. However, last year on this MLK Day, I was at The Wizarding World living my absolute BEST life drinking butter beer with my family waving this here wand around! I have 5 HP tattoos on my hand for good measure too. These tattoos afforded me the luxury of an exit pass for me and my kid’s to get right on Hagrid’s Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure for a second time which is THE BEST RIDE at Hogwarts!!
- Fun fact: Surprise! I have 22 tattoos that are all very meaningful to me. Including the one you can see down my arm that says BIBIA Be YE YE!! Which is one of my favorite songs that is also means “All will be well!” in Twi. Ed Sheeran is one of my favorite artists and I have seen him live 5 times. The best live performer!! I encourage you all to listen to it because it is a very fun song with powerful lyrics. We all go through it and have our moments but we gotta have faith that everything happens for a reason. Keep pushing, like he says “tomorrow’s a brand new day!”
- I never leave for wedding day without the products in the last photo along with my tool belt and fork comb! If you’re a stylist looking to polish your styles and make them last all night I highly recommend this cocktail of products!
- I’m a wild card. The options are endless! I have many different voices depending on my mood. Southern, Jersey and British accents tend to slip out of my mouth when I’m feeling frisky. Accents just make everything better, right?! I can get down and sing just about any song. I love people and I am passionate about making you all feel your very best. LISTEN! I have been judged in my childhood for not being white enough, not being black enough. Just feeling like I was not good enough and for what? Absolutely nothing! Other people’s insecurities do not define me! Opinions does not change who I am inside. Best believe the same goes for you!

My confidence + fire was ignited early because of all the things people said I couldn’t do and couldn’t have! Guess what? Like said, “I did everything I said I would and said it first! I know the world’s in denial but they all know what I’m headed for!”

Headed for greatness! I built this business from the ground up with the support of friends and family. I launched my website last February and we are booking in quicker than , OK! In October, I opened the doors at my very first studio space! The Bridal & Beauty Bar in Cranston, RI that you see pictured above with who is in my chair. She also provided the beautiful beat on my face 🥰

My dream is to connect with brides and bridal parties of ALL backgrounds! I want everyone regardless of their hair type, skin tone, gender, and love interests to know we are HERE FOR YOU! Please don’t assume we cannot style your hair because we do not have the same texture, Etc. I have been botched one too many times. That IS the reason I am here!
