House of Nefer

With over 30 years of experience in beauty and wellness, our Founder, Debra McCowan is incredibly knowledgeable and a seasoned holistic healer. As a result, they would often ask if she was a massage therapist because they enjoyed her techniques. Eventually, she decided to obtain her license in massage therapy to expand her professional portfolio while also deepening her guests’ satisfaction. As she honed her skill set, Debra began to learn about healing therapies and practices from other cultures; some of these include Reiki and Shirodhara Ayurvedic treatments . This knowledge piqued her interest and ignited a desire to incorporate Ancient Egyptian energy work into each of her services. House of Nefer was birthed from Debra’s passion for helping guests look and feel their best while also providing an elevated wellness experience. Licensed and certified in multiple healing therapies and modalities, Debra has successfully practiced Massage Therapy and Esthetics in Los Angeles, CA and Dallas, TX. Although services at House of Nefer include Ancient Egyptian energy work, other healing modalities and therapies include but are not limited to, Reiki healing, facial tuning, crystals, precious stones and sound therapy. While achieving a cosmetic and/or corrective result within massages and facials is crucial, Debra believes that incorporating energy work into each service has a deeply impactful and long lasting benefit; this is what truly differentiates House of Nefer from other spas and holistic wellness facilities. Debra prides herself on ensuring that every treatment is grounding, healing and completed with each guests’ complete wellbeing in mind. At House of Nefer, our mission is rooted in helping clients to regain total balance and energetic healing of the mind, body and spirit.
