🐻Root Retouches are the bread and butter but this client just made my day… we were talking about the boys being out for the summer and are bored trying to find ways to make money for a 3D printer. The printer is $550 so they are saving money for it. We went on with our conversation like usual and when she went to check out she gave an extra $100 and said it’s for the boys 3D printer fund! That was the sweetest thing ever! Of course the boys are super grateful!

RANT:

These are the stages of color when lifting/bleaching 🖤BLACK BOX DYE from hair. It will be 🧡brassy, we will have to 🤎tone it, the toner will fade over a matter of weeks, then we lift again (if your hair can handle it) and tone AGAIN. I had someone come in with black box dye wanting to be blonde balayage and did NOT want orange. One thing about me, Integrity of the hair 1st…I will not leave bleach on more than an hour and 99% of the time the highest developer I use is 20 Vol. 2nd pic is a test strand of bleach left on black box dye for an hour and 1/2. As you can see it’s orange! 🧡3rd pic is when I first applied the bleach.

So next time think twice about that cheap Black Box dye if you might want to be blonde again because it’s a PROCESS. And I will not do it all on one session! Nope! Next!
