• Her request was to feel more solid/ less dimensional and a bit ashier. We were working with a couple different colors, a lot of warmth and some semi permanent blue/green so there’s still some work to do but we’re definitely one step closer to her goal.

I love doing blowouts ♡ but the truth is they don’t look the same on everyone and here’s why…
• There are different types of blowouts, most people think of your typical big bouncy curls, some people picture a more sleek look with the ends flipped in. Both are still a blowout but totally different results
• your hairs ability to hold a curl plays a huge factor in how your blowout is going to turn out/ how well it’s going to hold. Products help a lot tho!
• LAYERS!!! And I can not stress this one enough. Long hair that’s all one length is going to have a harder time getting that volume and curl you’re looking for and will most likely just fall flat.
• Not all blowouts are done with just a round brush. Sometimes you need a curling iron to get the shape you’re looking for.
This is why I will always ask questions/ consult before a blowout, to make sure I chose the products and technique that are right for your hair and your desired results ♥

With the opening of Eden I figured it was time to reintroduce myself.
I’m Kayla but most people call me Kat (hence the username but I’ll respond to either lol)
I began my career in 2020 after graduating from the hairstyling program at Woodford training centre. Throughout my career I’ve made it a point to keep up with education, I believe you never stop learning in this industry. I am passionate about hair health and educating my clients on the proper products and at home care for their individual hair needs. I love all things color, from the richest brunettes and brightest blondes to the most vibrant vivids and everything in between!
Although I consider myself a colorist I do enjoy cutting as well, I would say long hair is my niche (long haired girlies your length is safe with me 😉) layered cuts are my thing! I love creating movement and adding shape to the hair and lately I’ve been taking classes to improve my cutting techniques for textured hair. Outside of the salon I enjoy spending time with my Dog, playing the sims and attending music festivals. Some other fun facts about me…
• I was an all star cheerleader for a large portion of my life and could yap your ear off about it.
•I can not function without caffeine.
•I am Obsessed with Halloween.
•I love 2000s poppunk and still collect cd’s
•My favourite place is the beach
•I’m a huge animal lover, I’ve been vegetarian for over a decade (I do my best to eat vegan) and it’s super important to me to choose brands/ products that are cruelty free.
